Gijin is incredibly lazy when it comes to tanks. The opolot only has a taste of what most get. For example the MASSIVE ERA blocks on the challenger 2 tes only have 30mm of KE protection and 500mm of ce. To put in perspective thats 170mm ke and 100ce less Relict sekrit russian paper ERA at the same BR.
Are you honestly not bothered by the fact that the design and operating principle of the ERA you mentioned are completely different? It’s like comparing a sports car and a truck. They’re completely different.
It’s a paper tank in game that could easily be 11.7 or 11.3.

From my experience it’s pretty situational, sometimes I survive several hits from high tier tanks, sometimes I’ll die to a random HEAT round to the front.
With the addition of anti-ERA tipped APFSDS the Oplot will become even weaker, even though unlike conventional ERA, Duplet works mainly by damaging the body of the APFSDS through shaped charges instead of deforming the tip like with relict, so in theory, Duplet should perform better against this kind of round than regular ERA but it’s modelled like regular ERA in game.
I have no real hope of the ERA values being fixed either, even after managing to come to an agreement with Ralin about the value.
I think this fight is lost for now. 😔

With this I’m convinced that the object 478du8 will be DOA if placed at 11.7 br.
They should raise the max br of grb to at least 13.0 (due to implementation of m826a3 or whatever it’s name was… and the new T-90M )

@Ralin can you try to make a report about the ERA, you probably know best what is needed and what is not in order to make the report.

You’ll have to reread a lot, but you’ll find a phrase where he showed others how he closed the bug report, and later there was another post where he was considering warning the English-speaking bug report managers not to accept any reports related to Oplot.

If the l27a1 and dm53 will get same anti-era capabilities then the oplot is done for :(. Even the 3bm60 apparently has anti era capability in real life.
