yeah but to be fair that B29 was at altitude you dont get time to climb ing GRB as match is usually ending by then and they where zeros which dont climb all that high while enemy team will have purpose built high speed interceptors like ME262

remove nukes all together.
Bomber Survivability is WAAAY too low and gunners are trash, aiming them is even more trash.
Was flying my Me-264 the other day and had my tail sawed off from a single burst of .50s.
When in real life a single burst of 20s wouldn’t even have done that.

I tried to look up any suggestion to making the nuke planes spawn at high altitudes instead of low. Nothing on the forums except replies, I’m surprised.
I don’t really understand why they can’t make the nuclear planes spawn at high altitudes just like in the Nuclear Thunder event.
By the way if you try to climb to high altitudes the game won’t even let you drop the nuke on target LOL
Could someone make a suggestion for this?
God forbid a bomber has 1 real characteristic from real life but aparently survivability in a bomber is just “Toxic” or sum Shi like that…

Bombers in War Thunder are ahistorically weak anyway, the B-29 is a victim of this.
It’s a massive target, and the Nuke Siren is basically a dinner bell for enemy CAS like has been said. Getting a nuke is hard, and dropping it is too hard in the B-29 in comparison to later nuke jets that just hug the earth and can drop with impunity

Yes the B-29 is really hard to drop the nuke with but the jet ones don’t really do it with impunity I have had a couple times I got shot down in the jet nuke and also matches where I shot down the nuke, even a match where I shot down 2 nuke canberras. Dropping the nuke is always down to luck but with the B-29 you need a lot more luck to do it.

The problem is that a gaijin made the entire bomber fuselage very weak… Somehow 2 20m bullet will rip the entire aircraft in to pieces while in real life you probaly need way more then that.
A fighter kamikaze a B17 yet it survives. In the game? The bomber would have turned in to a flamming ball with every part of the aircraft detached.
It’s because the models for aircraft are way too simplistic. Spar modules are only a few pieces and when destroyed the wings pop off. IRL wing spars are more complex along with the skeleton of the aircraft (which is just placed with the aircraft skin as a simplified module. Bombers would be incredibly tanky if the internals were made properly and the panels were either individually modeled or grouped as larger panels.
