At the time the report was made those types of munitions were not in game yet but they recently got added at the higher BR’s. I think the biggest hindrance at the moment is the ARH seeker, as far as i know there are no AGMs in the game with radar seekers. (Or wasn’t there one added super recently maybe? i mighty be misremembering)

Well there’s the sea eagle innit?

AS-34, ASM-1 and Sea Eagle are all ARH ASMs. AS-34 was added 3 ish years ago (not that it worked until about 18 months ago)

The issue is that they cant be used in GRB and therefore Gaijin doesnt consider them a priority. Still impressed they added Sea Eagle. Id guess the next we’ll see eventually is Exocet or Harpoon

the-more-you-know

Thanks :)

How do you use that thing ? I tried it on the hawk 209 test drive but I couldnt get them to lock. The japanese asms and the other test drive worked fine for me bt I cant get the sea eagle to lock lmao

Uh… Ive only used them so far on the Buc S2B and Tornado Gr1 with naval search radar. (Hawk 209 is missing its A2A & A2N radar). Hawk 200 is in the same situation of not having a radar, but ive not started the stock grind for it yet.

im trying to remember from the dev server… Have you tried just firing it towards a naval target? Without locking on?

Kinda just flies straight

It should lock onto a naval target in its path iirc.

Ill try again sometime later then ill update you. Thanks for the tip

It does, you can just drop it while flying in a straight line in the direction of the target and it dives, sea skims and then LOAL once it’s within range, not sure how wide of an area the seeker looks at but in test drive i got it to snap ~10-15 degrees to the side, turn and hit the ship.

Thank you, glad I remembered right.

That might be the first actually intended LOAL we’ve got in game, bodes well for Brimstone some day

Yeah, i’m not sure i’m a fan of LOAL in GRB in general. for SIM absolutely, but i think it’s way to OP in GRB honestly. The Spice bombs are already threading a fine line there and are better than i expected them to be. (JAS39E with 16 of the 250lb ones is nuts…)

But that is a bit off topic.
