Is the f4f ice better then the American phantoms?
Better radar and missiles by a long shot, but it is less maneuverable since it doesn’t have the agile eagle upgrade.
However it doesn’t really matter as US phantoms are much lower in BR to account for this difference in capabilities

I haven’t played the american phantoms so take what i say with a grain of salt, but i’ve found that the german f4f is maneuverable enough to dunk on random premiums in a dogfight.
I played the normal f4f and It has agile Eagle and a stronger engine

So, in a theoretical 1v1 duel, the F4F ICE beats every other Phantom in the game and it’s not even close. The F4F ICE has much superior radar, not to mention AIM-120 and potent AIM-9L/I. It’s only flaw compared to other Phantoms is that it lacks HMD (the US F4J and F4S has this)
Sadly, this doesn’t matter at all. Why?
Because the F4F ICE has a BR of 13.3 in Air RB. Meanwhile the 2nd highest BR Phantom is Japan’s F4EJ Kai at 12.3, and the third are US F4J and F4S at 12.0. This means you can never meet the US Phantoms in battle, and the F4EJ Kai only in a full downtier (which are rare)
Rather than meeting other flying bricks (Phantoms) you will meet vastly superior airframes such as F-16, F-15, SU-27, Jas-39 Gripen etc. and you will not have a good time because your airframe is at the end of the day a 50s era fighter.
The F4F ICE airframe is basically the same as F4E which sits at 11.3, which is considered sluggish even for it’s low BR.
While the radar and armament is good in theory, the airframe is so outdated that this becomes a moot point.
Returning to the question, is the F4F ICE better than American Phantoms?
If you mean theoretical 1v1 situation - yes
If you mean competitiveness compared to other aircraft you will be facing - a resounding no

The radar is much improved, the same as the F-18, and it carries AIM-9L(I) and AMRAAMs. Otherwise it is exactly identical to the F-4E, though nearly 200kg heavier.
