Footage of F4D-1 Skyray firing Sparrow.

I’d like to believe it’s Sparrow II (AIM-7B), but it’s likely the Sparrow III (AIM-7C/D).

Disco_Shrimp put together a very nice write-up of his findings regarding the F-111D and the YAIM-7G program.

If this is true, it would be a nice buff for the aim-7m and p. Currently they’re 25gs in game, same maneuverability as aim-7e

Currently, those specs are copied & pasted and subjected to change. I will review and verify it with the sources.

Sidenote, I have found something about AIM-7C. Its time to guidance could be improved. Currently, its guidance delay is 2 seconds. It should start moving alive after 3 feet (0.9 m) of travel after firing.

what changed on the AIM-7 FM?

All AIM-7s and Skyflashes had their flight models and auto pilots completely changed

What does this mean for performance?

Some people are already saying it’s much harder to out roll

It pulls more than the PL-12 now.

I dunno if Gaijin has applied the same Changes to the R-27 yet (They said they would).

Tl:dr from the video

AIM-7s past the E-2 will pull more off the rail than the 27R or ER, and the AIM-7s also lose less speed than the ER.

If I had to guess, the ER is still gonna reach the target MUCH Faster than the AIM-7.
