this shouldnt implemented unless they also implement how it flies in ACM mode.
irl 54s will go lofting with SARH mode too if range is too far from target.
doesnt preprogrammed imply that its outside of the missile guidance logic?
dont aim54s loose speed a bit fast for how chonky they are?
Yea basically from what I’ve heard from my Contacts they need Video Proof to reproduce the Scenario, Which I believe you got exactly right, I am forwarding those clips to some people and we’ll work on getting it resubmitted
But like maybe a scenario where Planes are flying semi Perpendicular to the launching aircraft and lets say one is banked showing the full bottom of his plane to the launching aircraft creating the largest RCS and one flying like normal, that could also help to solidify that its missing the range discrimination
I am not sure how to do those simulations that you showed in War Thunder
@CalvinAz
Yeah I don’t have an experience with the dev server but I’ve heard there might be stability issues making the missile lose crazy amounts of energy. If someone could get a clip of that in action that would be a very easy report.
do not report stability issues LMAO
Also, does anyone have means to test the 110NMI Aim-54A shot? If I can prove that the base Aim-54A can’t even get it’s proper range the increase in capability to the C would be even greater (currently it’s possible we get up to a 30% increase in range via better energy management)
“To fix stability issues we have removed the ability for the Aim-54 to turn”
have you like… scrolled up
Dev is now closed so no way to test it
Sorry my bad
Some of the measurements are just a hair off unfortunately :(
I guess this will have to continue on tuesday. Hopefully they don’t forget about the Aim-54/F-14 after the devserver…
We all know they will.
well tell americans to have actual units of the real world, not made up nonsense
Can we even reproduce this scenario ingame?
Is this not possible in CDK?
Currently, the only way to test this is to load the custom mission with the 256x256 km Tropical Coast map from Nuclear Thunder.
Damn the range is just that big, but by that question I meant did anybody try to do it before?
I mean, whether a missile will loft depends on the distance to the target. I don’t remember the exact distance, but in most dogfight situation, missiles don’t loft.
