The 1 sided air defense problem is still here and worse than ever

Pantsir’s missile is easily dodged within its effective range of ~15km all the way down to 3km.
Also 15km /2 is not 10km, and that 15km is a significantly worse missile in maneuverability.

While i understand the pantsir isnt hard to dodge past 12km this also applies to the slamraam and derby, except they don’t get the luxury of not warning your target that a missile is coming their way

The other side of this is if you have germany on your team and play one of these vehicles the second one spawns in you are cucked into uselessness and might as well J out or rush a cap and die.

sweden did buy irist slm irl tho. No reason for them not to add it. Sweden arguably needs it more than the germans since sweden doesn’t really have good cas.

The other thing too with the tansam is the radar is actual trash on it
Its schizophrenic where half the time the target isnt even on radar despite me being able to visually see them
And with the other half being that it updates so damn slow that its incredibly difficult to get a good enough track so i can fire my missile at them

Genuinely after playing it for awhile now ive given up on it because of how bad the radar is
I could excuse the 10km range on it if the radar just wasnt so terrible even under 3km it struggles just because of how bad the radar is

The missiles still produce smoke, when they should be smokeless, and the vehicle model is wrong for Israel. The one in game is based on the M48A2 variant, which Israel never got.

if i remember seeing people mention on the tansam kai tads they removed the 110* search and the TWS fast scan in the live server

why? Does that vehicle have that capability? Just curious because I haven’t tested anything on the dev server so was unaware.

it does, the TADS is an aesa radar (a very powerful one at that) strapped on a truck

Ayoooo, why they gotta remove such a critical part of the SAM 😭 maybe thats another reason why the radar feels wonky too…

the Type 81C ARH is also missing its actual model it uses the IR one currently (ARH has a pointy nose not a smooth nose)

shor tl;dr reply, no. Gripen is actually better CAS platform than Eurofighter due to having FnF mavericks.

as for long answer, i will just link my post under different thread as to not repeat myself and not derailing this topic: Either I cant find it, which i find unlikely, or it was deleted by mods. Either way, cant link it.

As to not derail the thread further, just in short:
Brimstones suck because:
A) they are slow (almost 60 seconds of flight time if launched from max range of 15km)
B) they arent FnF but SAL. Brimstones either require you to babysit them for 60 seconds, which is insanely long time window in context of top tier games, and due to gimball limits of the TGP, you cant effectively defend; or jump through hoops that are massively dependant on timing and luck to certain degree to make use of them.

so no, sweden arguably does not need it more due to having worse CAS.

I mean not just brimstones the Eurofighter does just have more pylons. Gripen c can carry 4 gbu plus 2 aim9l and that’s about it.

Eurofighter cancarry 2x it missiles and 2xfox3 ontop of having 2 more a2g pylons
