i was thiking about buy a premiun boat for coastal navy and, that was the moment when i make the asked it (im tired of air and gbr )
As much as I would love to advocate for Britain here, it will probably end up either being the US or the Soviets.
Im not sure what Germany, France, Italy and Japan have to offer in-terms of future additions.
I mean type 26 looks interesting

Yeah, they look awesome, but innetivably gaijin will model them to be terrible and the soviet frigates to be OP as hell
For japan they dont really believe in frigates much or at least dont call them that. The most recent ship they have called frigate is their Mogami class it is focused more for multi-purpose but mainly ASW due to its armament
They have an upcoming upgraded version featuring 32vls cells and for Australia

If your interested here is a nice list of almost every post war JMSDF SHIP
Do you mean at the top or would you also factor low and mid tier stuff?
I personally am also wondering about where modern frigates would go since we only really have small ashms, sams and atgms in coastal.
America cause if it had room it got missiles plus Cwis is chef kiss
From what i could find their best current frigate is Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigate
Bit outdated compared to others but they are currently building 2 constellation class
i hate the look of some britanic ships (overall in the ww2) but ships like this and the hms defender makes me want to grind the tech tree
Are you only interested in coastal? Or just the future of modern naval TTs? Because then the answers would be more different
