As it currently stands in game, Targeting pods for some strange reason, use your “altitude” unit of measurement and not the more reasonable “distance” unit of measurement. I personally prefer using ft instead of km for altitude, but when im using an aircraft with guided weapons, such as the new Tornado Gr4, this limitation is quite a major inconvenience as I have to convert ft to km on the fly / remember the launch ranges in ft and not the much simpler km.
This issue demonstrated:
The distance to the target is in KM but the targeting pod displays in ft. This may not be an issue in ARB, but in GRB and ASB where targets dont have markers with ranges, this becomes quite a major issue.
I have previously created a suggestion for this, but nothing as of yet has come about and figured that a dev thread post may help in getting this QoL issue fixed sooner rather than later
- Fine as it is
- Should use Distance not altitude
- Shoud be given its own unit of measurement selection
