Now with several nations receiving FnF missiles in helicopters, I come here to reopen the discussion that has already been had several times before, but now more and more I think it is necessary to have a mode that only allows tanks, without planes and helicopters.
Over time, stronger weapons to destroy land vehicles arrived in the game, so a mode without planes and helicopters becomes more necessary as not everyone wants to bring a plane, or die for a plane, which sometimes you can’t even destroy since not every nation has good AA to intercept depending on the nation and BR.
I believe that this mode will benefit everyone who wants to play without worrying about planes, and whoever wants to play with planes will have a separate mode for that.
I think it’s a great idea. Keep current modes as they are and introduce a new mode with ONLY tanks.
It’s unlikely to happen though since it will likely split the player base. Plus, it would require additional servers on top of those already in use just for a slightly different game mode.
While I like the idea of it, a new game mode specifically for tanks is likely too costly/time consuming for too little of a change. Also SPAA would be left to dry lol.
First off, Warthunder is not a tank game or a plane game. It’s a combined arms game, so people who want TO are not the target audience.
Second, This mode will just cause even more division among the WT player base and will give Gajin an excuse to stop balancing CAS.
Third, a better solution to all toptier CAS problems is just put toptier SPAA like the SLM, Buk, and Pantsir, along with toptier planes and helis atleast 1.3 higher than toptier tanks. This means that players playing 12.7 tanks can decide if they wanna see 14.3 SPAAs, planes, and helicopters, or if they wanna see 12.7 SPAA, planes, and helicopters; by simply adding or subtracting a 14.3 SPAA or aircraft from their lineup.
Would be a great addition everyone is happy tankers can play tanks only, combined arms players can carry on as they do currently.
Sadly i fear will never happen but should definitely keep the idea highly visual.
