i do not know what you are talking about, but the M6A2E1 has a very strong frontal armor

very weak only 50 mm, historically the prototype had an additional 100 mm plate like the Tiger 1
if you have proof, then bug report it. But first search up to not make a duplicate report

To increase the armor of the tank, it was decided to remove the driver’s vision door along with the hull machine gun and then weld on additional armor to achieve an effective thickness of 7 ½ inches (190.5 mm).

but you’re looking at an angle of one point, and this frontal armor plate should be 190 degrees without any angulation. With an angle it should be more
now you have max 110 + 54 mm =165 mm , should be 190 mm
right, and how do you know that? generally effective thickness refers to what it would be while on the tank, as in already angled, not flat

because this is the base of the armor and the plate which together should be 190 mm without angles, with angles it will be different thickness in different places at the front

where do you have a source saying the armour unangled would be 190mm thick, the source you provided stated effective thickness
