Hey everyone i wanted to share my thoughts on the T90m and t72b3 series of tanks.currently the reload of these tanks are 7.1 sec which is around 2 seconds slower than most tanks in toptier , this significantly impacts their performance especially since these tanks rely heavily on follow-up shots as they cant retreat because their reverse gears are non existent. From the footage i have seen on the internet of russian t72/90 autoloaders load closer to just over 6 seconds rather than 7.1 seconds so it seems like there is room for improvement with the reload as its very important for these tanks as running away is impossible.I hope warthunder will buff the reloads atleast by 0.2 to 0.5 seconds.Tell me if anyone disagrees and correct me if im wrong.Thank you for reading!
nope
Impossible. 7.1 is average taken time of carrousel to reach next, or second round in a row. It should be even higher. F.e M1128 Stryker has taken average engagement time, not actuall reload speed of autoloader to assume it’s fire rate. Not to mention that all autoloaders should have modelled their guns in certain angle of elevation during reloads, otherwise it’s impossible to reload the gun
Not going to happen… even if the autoloaders can reload faster (so does and manual loader) in specific conditions IRL, this is the average reload speed. So basically its a balancing desigion.
That is true for every tank (gun), not just those with autoloaders.
youre telling me it would be impossible to reload T30 while its utilizing its gun depression fully? preposterous i say! /s
Unless every loader assigned as a loader have a abnormal long legs, this is not very possible:
As the loader is, most of the time, in foot inside the tank while other crew are sitted.
i feel theres a joke to be made about US assigning heavy work to individual thats tall, which is commonly prefered trait in basketball, but im not going to get banned.
Gotta go call Putin and tell him to design a faster autoloader for it.
Yes, with certain limitations with quoted T30 or other guns. Loader is a very happy man when he loads that 155mm big a*s shell basically over the head 😆
Would love to see that modelled on early soviet tanks. Imagine you utilize that -5 degrees of depression and the moment you shoot your gun going into space. T-72B with 3°/s elevation speed loses like 2 seconds to place the gun at reload position, then 7.1 second reload cycle starts and you need to wait another almost 2 to place the gun where it was before. So you have 11 seconds of one cycle in this scenario. @whyme939 you should be happy with that 7.1 sec 😉
they gave some tanks in top tier a 5 sec realod because their armor was bad
Lol manual loader can load even in few sec if good and drilled properly, very few can maintain that for many shells, can speed up or slow down, have marked shells in the ready rack so it further speed up shell selection. Mechanical loader have its certain speed and you can’t speed it up without risk of failure. We can argue about shell selection too, imagine you have 10 apfsds shells one next to another in carrousel and 10 heat in the same manner, if you want heat you need to wait almost half carrousel cycle to load another type of shell, drawback.
i think you misunderstood what I meant
yes haha
They could buff it just for balancing because warthunder is not that realistic lets be real and even just 0.2sec would be fine because warthunder seconds are feel long and this is just a proposition to buff it it does not have to be backed up by irl. But i think even a unrealistic buff could be put in place.
These tanks are artificially buffed enough they don’t need artificial reload buff as well. If you struggle with certain tank, change your Playstyle or move to another line that suit you better(f.e Type 10/TKX is my new obsession).
fair enough, tbf the reverse is a bigger problem for T90/72 tanks but yeah i agree with you.
They already have that many artificial buffs, there is no need to buff the average caroussel autoloader times.

who?
chinese?
they could even get buff from that as their autoloader is quite similar.
Dude highly impossible that the Russian get them , however the Chinese are truly lacking their proper autolaoder times . Around 6 seconds if I remember correctly
