T80b sharing same autoloader as T80U/BVM's

Hello, why does T-80b have 7.1 second reloading. It shares same carousel as rest of newer T-80’s. It doesn’t seem logical to myself or it’s some kind of nerf? Kinda unrea

I think its an artificial nerf for ‘balance’

doesnt it share the older autoloader with the T-64s while the T-80U/BVM have a newer variant of said autoloader

Idk why the T64 has a 7.1s reload cos im pretty sure they share the autoloader

Reload times are set on DEV’s discretion within the functional limits (as far as i know, not set faster than fastest possible nor slower than slowest possible).
So there are likely a lot of tanks in game with reload times that aren’t what they could have been in either direction. It’s a balance thing.

7.1 is already way faster than the real life average of 10-12s…so be happy

T-64B and T-80B: MZ 6ETs40

T-80U, T-80UD, T-80UK, T-80UM-2, T-80BVM: MZ 6ETs43

I don’t exactly remember why it is slower (i think it either had to do with the gunner having to do more, or with the autoloader spinning only in one direction instead of both?), but it should be accurate.

For gameplay balance.

It’s just an older version of the autoloader that’s slower.
Newer motors and better manufacturing lead to the T-80U’s having an improved autoloader.

Source?

Because that is simply not correct. The autoloader is using the same parts and motors to this day…

Yes, but originally if ammo is set and ready for loading, then its clearly faster.

This depends on the indexing of the round though. The game assumes the next round is always on the next index. It’s probably faster irl

Its probably for balancing or the autoloader is older which is slower
or its a prototype vehicle

Because it is artificially buffed to have that reload.

Or do you want it to be realistic and around 10 sec?

Skipping 2 rounds it should have a 7.5s … dont know where do you even get 10s.

you dont know how the T-xx loader work do you
if it were to skip 2 rounds it would take longer to load because skipping round takes longer than not
ingame it doesnt have this function which mean when you have 20 apfsds then you load 20 apfsds
and irl you dont put he or heat in between apfsds and most if not all the crews in T-xx refuse to do so

Do you load a single apdsfs every 3 rounds?

Even skipping 5 rounds you still get sub 10 s dude.

took 3 minutes for you to comprehend and type and u still dont know what u are talking about

ingame obviously not but irl most of the crew in T-xx put 2-3 he/at in between apfsds, the habit hasnt change for a while and idk why but thats what they did
reload rate is a balancing factor ingame, you can look at things like stryker mgs which should have 6 sec irl but gaijin nerf it to 7.5

that is because T-72 carousel autoloader is slightly slower than T-64 carousel autoloader
and depend on the operating condition autoloader are tune differently

he is responding to a guy asking “why does the T-80b have a 7.1 s reloading”, guess which type of autoloaders t80s have…

first they still can load same rounds side by side, unless specific roudns like 3bm60 (base on speculations), they probably have done that in the fiel just like some ukranians crews completely filled up the safe ammor storages with just dm53, which is clearely not part of doctrine.

the likely reason is balancing
or the T-80B autoloader is an older version MZ autoloader hence its slower

hmm fair enough
