In the latest video from YouTuber MatAWG, you can clearly see that they’ve nerfed the damage of the T58’s HEAT. It took multiple shots to kill an IT-1 and a T-54, whereas in the initial patches I could usually kill them with a single shot. First, keep in mind that the gun is 155mm you can imagine the huge hot-metal hole it makes, which justified the massive damage it was doing initially. Second, the T58’s drum only holds six rounds, so are you telling me I’m supposed to spend half the drum on a single tank? Honestly, I propose restoring the original damage, which was pretty good, and giving it a 5-second reload like the T54E1, or 6 seconds like the Surbaisse if you prefer , but keep the high damage. I really don’t want them to set a 2.5sec delay between shots; if I’m going to spend 3 shots (half the drum) on a T-54, the drum will empty super fast and I’ll be reloading forever to fill it back up, especially if I’m damaged and only have two crew left. Please, think this through.
Maybe try it on your own first instead of basing it off a ytber vid, especially MatAWG.
Edit: Watched the vid and uh he literally shot 1 time and that shot hit the fuel tank which is why the damage is so bad.
Why people treat the words of Youtubers like the word of God is beyond me.
Don’t worry too much about damage. Datamine has it coded with a damage factor of 400, which is the same as the damage factor of the 120mm M469 HEAT-FS and 152mm M409 HEAT. It feels like it’s more powerful than the 105mm HEAT-FS, which has a damage factor of 250, and less powerful than the 9M14 missile, which has a damage factor of 600.

All his content are clickbait, low effort content that involved reading off the War thunder forum/reddit or the dev blog then somehow stretching that to 10 min. Im sure he sleep easy at night.

Theres only maybe a couple WT creators a cant tolerate let alone like Wild how bad the content creator side of this game is yet ive met some great people via the forums
