But that’s sad, isn’t it? Selling a premium that you literally make thousands of money from yet you keep it blatanly broken so they can bully other people by literally having 1 shot machine, even if inconsistent, you have less than 3 second reload to make up for it. Mods are merging/deleting posts about it, like I should be afraid to bring it up on a FORUM to talk about it… like, what
I mean tbf if they were to “fix” HESH and make it work like HE qith extra HESH spall, it would still one shots anything and far more reliably most likely.
I’m all for it. Fix it. But then they don’t have the excuse that “it’s inconsistent so that’s why it is lower BR”, and it would be forced to move up/nerf it, cuz everybody would play just HESH vehicles and nothing else. Why would you play anything than 1 shot machines?
Can this hunk of junk get its reload gutted already
Absolute prime lab-setting reload shouldn’t be a thing for any tank
And for most it isn’t. Top tier Japanese autoloaders are artificially limited to 4 seconds, even when they are capable of firing faster irl, but they apparently will not do the same to the T58.
Also looking at MSC, at 6s and not 3s. I dislike lab settings being used
It isn’t a lab-setting reload, it is how the gun is designed
Loader puts a round on the arm and after the gun fires he rams it into the breech which is how super fast reload can be achieved
Because as soon as you get a non-city map the thrown-potato velocity of the T58 HESH becomes an immense liability. City maps are a good part of why its so nasty.
Honestly imagine if all HE had the internal spalling like HESH in 1.69 had if it hit a plate that was thin enough to be spalled but still too thick to be outright shattered. HESH is literally just HE optimized to spall thicker plates for its given size than HE from the same gun would.
You’re failing to consider factors such as spent shell casings, recoil adjustment, and reliability concerns. For example, AMX-50 Surbaisse’s 6s reload takes these into account, with .75 added for recoil adjustment and 1s for discarding spent shell casings. Just because it can achieve a rate of fire does not mean that’s the operational rate of fire; thus it’s a lab reload.
Yeah and also nah. City maps are the reason why it’s ridiculous, but even on non city maps you have some parts of map where it’s almost flat with some cover usually in the middle of every single map where you still can use it equally so…
It’s got thrown potato shell velocity of 563m/s. Hitting with that outside of 500m on anything moving is totally down to luck and the other player’s stupidity.
Now if the map has all of its objectives inside city clusterfuck sections, then yes even on semi-open maps you can make it work. Or you can even lob it over hills.
My opinion remains largely unchanged - restoratively buff all HESH into the truly devastating round that type of ammo actually was and let this thing ascend in BR to wherever it ends up.
Rangefinder + 2.6 second reload? No it isn’t totally down to luck what are you talking about. You can range everyting in less than 1 second + you fire every 2.6 second so even if you hit a fence or sum, you will be albe to fire another one before enemy even realizes whos shooting… plus 563m/s means, you can lob it around the hills while others can’t. You can literally hit a tank that you can’t see through a hill.
