T54, T55, T62 and T80 for Germany - NVA East German Forces

image
As we know, East Germany fielded multiple Soviet-made tanks during the Cold War such as the T-54, T-55, T-62, T-72 and the T-80; the last Soviet tank fielded by East Germany. It would be a great idea to extend on Soviet made tanks in the German tech tree to complement the T72. Here are my proposals for each vehicle in the German tech tree:

T54 - would most likely be the 1951 variant as T54’s were first fielded in the late 1950’s (BR 8.0)
T55 - T-55A (8.3)
T62 - T-62 (8.7)

Any evidence of that, iirc East Germany never operated t80s, the soviets just stationed them there, but was operated by the soviets (It is literally on your source).

This three also makes no sense.

Oop MB, must’ve chucked in the AMD by acc, as for the other’s yea I’m prolly wrong, I’ll remove them

At least as late as 1988 they didn’t have T-80s

Bro I need these typa sources, where u get these kinda stuff

I usually use Wikipedia, but ignore the most of what’s on the page and start digging into the linked sources, you can do the same with AI, search something, ignore what it actually says and just look into the source material it is using (you will see the problem with what it actually tells you pretty quick, a lot of it’s vehicle sources are from the War Thunder store page, the wiki or here…).
I won’t pretend it always works, but you would be surprised how often you can find some really good links.

tysm bro, I’ll make sure to do this next time!

No.

Imho there is little to no reason for the German TT to get more C&P vehicles, be it low ranks or top tier.

If we are to add vehicles of Soviet origin, the best option will be the addition of the ones that East Germans modified (e.g. T-54AMZ and T-54AM-2B).

My logic is if you want heavy copy-pastium somewhere, there should be a real need for it (e.g. some nation doesn’t get proper CAS, SPAA, heavy tank etc. due to domestic policies/doctrines), and I don’t think German TT is that needy.
As symbolic additions – these aren’t the best either. Maybe some of them have a certain degree of historical value, but I don’t think there is that much of it to 100% prove its place there (looking at the fact that German TT as a whole still has a lot of domestic equipment right now and for the future).

Rank 5 germany is, comparatively to the rest of the tree, very thin on actual tanks. another 7.7 or 8.0 medium wouldn’t be the worst to have there but it doesn’t need to be a NVA tank

East Germany only fielded Czechoslovak T-55AM2Bs and did not have Soviet ones, the first link you provide quite literally says it.
Most T-54s, T-55s and T-72M1s were also provided by Czechoslovakia or Poland too.

hopefully something around 9.0 as leo a1a1 is not exactly the best 9.0 i wouldnt mind a domestic modified T54 AMZ 9.0-8.0 is kinda a mid br for germany as russia and america have far stronger vehicles

There is literally no reason for Germany to get them.

If not we need to remove all CP German vehicles from other trees and see how the Swedes get a better leopard 2 it should be removed and go to the German tree.

Sure the A1A1 isn’t the best and doesn’t have a lineup, but if you’re there you’re almost at the giant 9.3 line up anyways.

looking at the tech tree i think we should sooner see an medium tank addition to 7.7 or 8.0 first. Maybe even 8.3?
