T29 / T34 tank sight vignetting problem

Hello everyone.

Why is there MUCH more vignetting at the edges of the T34 and T29 sights compared to all other tanks, for example, T-10M, even though it is the same 8x magnification on both vehicles?

Don’t try to bring up nonsense arguments about historical FOV or whatever.

You can easily check the exact FOV values for all vehicles directly in the hangar. In fact, T29 has the exact same 9 degrees FOV as T-10M.

I have noticed:

  • The vignette thickness is initially tied to a specific tank and it doesn’t change when you zoom in.

  • I found out that only T34 and T29 have such extreme vignetting.

If you know any other examples like these 2 american tanks, please drop them in the comments.

Do you think this issue should be fixed by the developers?
  • Yes, it should be fixed / made consistent for all vehicles.
