T25E1 Medium Tank

Hello everybody. I’d like to suggest the T25E1 medium tank to expand the inclusion of the T20 series of medium tanks for the US ground forces tech tree in War Thunder. The T25E1 was an improved development of the T25, fitted with torsion bar suspension and a Ford GAF engine driving a Torqmatic transmission, which made it lighter and more reliable than the original electric-drive T25. A total of 40 examples were built, but the project was soon overshadowed by the T26E1, whose heavier armor and similar layout paved the way for the standardized T26E3/M26 Pershing.

Thank you for taking the time to read my suggestion! 😃

A +1 from me! Would be nice to see this, maybe grouped with the normal T25 as a sidegrade.

If the T25 ever gets moved down with lower charge versions of M82, this would be a good vehicle to fill its place at 6.3.

amazed this isnt already in game, +1

should swap the current T25 with this one its complete buns +1

Finally approved. I want all the T20-T25 tanks. They just look great in my opinion.

There’s a way to retain the current T25 in the tree instead of shelving it. It’s really as simple as changing the ammunition loadout to use only earlier rounds.

All US 90 mm M3’s in-game currently use the latest M82 APHECBC version with 0.31-0.33 lb (141-150 g) of filler (I’ve seen slightly varying figures) and a heavier charge, giving it a velocity of 2800 ft/s (853 m/s). But this was from very late in the war. There were two earlier versions with reduced propellants, that achieved 2670 ft/s (814 m/s). The first had a larger filler of 0.44 lb (200 g), while the later version is similar to the one in-game apart from velocity.

I would suggestion nerfing the velocity of M82 on the T25 from 853 m/s to 814 m/s (173 mm @ 10 m), as well as adding “M82 (Early)” with similar velocity and the larger explosive cavity (166 mm @ 10 m). The M304 APCR round, which is also entered service very late in the war, should also be removed.

With reduced armor penetration capabilities, the T25 could be moved down to BR 6.0, leaving room for the T25E1 to be added at 6.3.
You could probably give a few other 90 mm armed vehicles this treatment. T1E1 (90), in particular, though I’d also suggest it for the early M36.

so this is just a T25, but better mobility? still +1!!!

They could split the current one into two vehicles. Make the current premium Pilot 2 without the stabilizer (that’s what they claimed when they removed it ages ago), and then make a new premium Pilot 1 with the stabilizer (that’ll piss a lot of people off but it’ll sell like hotcakes).

That then means this T25E1 could, fingers crossed, be a TT vehicle.

I really wish Gajin just made the M4/T26 a premium so that we would have more space to work with the T2x series in the tree.
I can get behind your idea, regardless. It’s slightly odd to flip flop on the stabilizer imo, so keeping the TT early 90 mm tanks unstabilized is more logical for progression.

+1 don’t see why not
