T14 Assault Tank - America’s Heavy for Britain’s War

Where did he even get the idea that was for Britain? The US was the only one who built and used them

Not how that works. There is a near infinitely replenishable supply of unique vehicles we don’t have and Gaijin knows this.

I’m sure most of us here would gladly take some well-crafted and rewarding game modes instead of new vehicles for an update, but at the end of the day it is most likely the game director himself deliberately choosing not to invest in new modes because they don’t offer as immediate a $$$ payoff as premiums.

I’m so, so tired of people who only look at the game from a “meta” perspective.

Probably misunderstood the plan to export some of them if it entered mass production, Which it ended up not doing.

I’m well aware.

So how is this some sort of counter argument? Don’t see what this has to do with me actively not wanting identical vehicles copied and pasted into multiple separate tech trees.

It’s hardly about meta at all actually. It’s about feeling like I have to play the same nation 5 times over as I sift through for nuggets of unique experiences. It’s about actually feeling like I am playing against different nations in the game. If this game was just WW2, and I got into it, only to then find that both teams were comprised of 40% Shermans every match, it takes away some of the magic for me.

Right now I am finally able to research the IPM1 in the US tech tree. I’m still working on filling out my 9.7 lineup before I get there, but I’m pretty much there. Now there’s an M1 in the Chinese Tech Tree which I already have finished and they’re adding what, 2? 3 Abrams to the UK? The same happened with the Leos and the T80s. Hell, we even have a T90.

These are my last big incentives to research these trees, and instead of gaining access to a totally unique array of vehicles for all that time and effort, anyone else who grinded 1 of 3 other nations just gets it too. It’s like, why even have separate tech trees at this rate? Tech trees used to feel unique. They used to have so much more personality to them. It’s not all gone, but it’s really noticeable to me now.

If you think I’m just whining, I get it. And obviously that example I used is far more extreme than just this one vehicle here, but it’s another step on that path. I know it seems silly to not want better access to something, but the T14 regularly goes on sale for next to nothing man. It already makes sense that the US gets it. We have the Excelsior. It’s a damn shame it’s an event vehicle but it represents our side of that project in our own unique flavour. It serves its purpose.

This seems like a big part of every argument in this regard, and all I have to say is… Maybe encourage countries not to export/import vehicles, I guess? But even ignoring that, there are a metric ton of vehicles from every country that are unique. It’s up to you whether you want to play the copy/paste ones or not, but for other people they fill lineups, give more vehicles to play, represent historically significant imports.

Its not even about wanting to play the copy-pastes. Its constantly fighting them because everyone has the exact same thing now, And it steals value from the native tree.

There is practically no difference between arcade mixed battles and RB anymore because both teams end up with the same vehicles.

…Except for all the unique vehicles still present in battles, and the fact that generally even import vehicles have different color schemes/configurations. I don’t think it’s a bad thing to have a mirror match sometimes, shows who’s better-skilled in certain vehicles and lets you make use of weaknesses you know of from experience.

I will say, any exports/imports that aren’t significantly changed should be utterly banned from Sim battles.

A different color makes 0 difference in game Especially when people are slapping anime decals and bushes all over their tanks anyway.

I have 2 issues with that:

  1. Regardless of whether or not I want to play them, I still have to grind them out. This is fine in the early stages of a tree (at least as a premium player), as soon as I’m looking at 3 or 4 vehicles that will take 80-100k rp, it becomes a totally unnecessary time sink. The fact that I could be looking at 4 times that rp requirement for a vehicle with a negligible difference is very off-putting and kills a lot of the enthusiasm I have for the direction of the game as a whole.

And 2. As the other honourable gentleman has already said, I still have to fight them. Every game is like some United Nations version of the Avengers Civil War. It’s silly.

Cherrypicking at its best.

How is it cherry picking lmao?

Im showing the copy-paste problem is so bad there is two ranks in a row thats majority copy-paste.

Its mostly copy pasted, not copy paste

Because there are still a good few unique tanks, not to mention lower-tier premiums. (which are regrettably also some of the more unique vehicles…)
It’s not the US’s fault it was one of the greatest exporters of arms and all the tanks you marked down were exported to other countries, some even becoming mainstays for years on end.

Ignoring lend-lease and import/export is pointless, too…
Pandora’s box has already been opened in this regard, ask for more unique vehicles instead of pointlessly complaining about “copy-paste” (AKA import/export) vehicles.

Why isn’t the T1E1 yellow? It’s basically an M6

Premiums that are paywalled.
“Oh you want a unique experience playing the US tree? Just spend money bozo lmao”

Germany/USSR also exported loads of stuff yet don’t proportionally share as much of their own gear in game, Something that copy-slop supporters always keep dodging in every discussion.

The M4 is yellow and not the M6’s because im comparing it to whats in the other trees.

Comparing the M4 to the M4A4 the only difference is the extra small plate on one turret cheek where barely anyone aims for anyway, Beyond that there is 0 gameplay differences between them, They have the same main gun, Same hull armor, Same mobility, Same power to weight ratio, Every other visual difference is entirely cosmetic and has no real impact on their performance.
The Chinese premium one also gets the same .50 on the roof.

Didn’t even realise that. Anyway the M4A4 should be better because it should have 451hp so it would have a much better P/W ratio.

I am very much against this in general, more unique vehicles should be TT and more copy-paste vehicles should be premium except in the case where a country wouldn’t have much else.

Germany and USSR also have more tanks in general at ranks III-IV, tbf- Gaijin just can’t seem to be bothered to add more US WW2 unique vehicles or prototypes as anything other than event vehicles and premiums :/
