T14 Assault Tank - America’s Heavy for Britain’s War

Wouldn’t exist without British request, British money, and British specifications. So it doesn’t matter if it’s American built. You’re ignoring the entire history of the vehicle. Two were made, one went to the British and was extensively tested.

The only surviving vehicle is pilot 2 which was sent to the UK, so I guess you can thank the British for preserving your history as well?

I mean didn’t Italy get a Panzer 3N despite it being a German premium (granted I guess the premium did have one more MG34 to differentiate it) and Israel the P-51D-20-NA with less ground weapons?

Cheers, but I believe this is the same report as the first link in my sources section, although you definitely found a nicer URL for it!

Would it get APHE or only solidshot?

Why shouldn’t it get APHE?

It’s a 75mm M3 cannon, after all.

Presumably APHE. Currently all British tanks with the American 75mm (Sherman II and Churchill NA75) get access to APHE, its only the tanks with the British OQF 75mm that don’t.

Which is very dumb, considering the cannons are designed to fire the exact same ammo, and there were no seperate stockpiles or logistics chains for the American/British 75mms.

Hopefully this will at least be partially rectified in the next update though:

so was the P51 mustang should the P51 H go to your tree aswell ?

the best thing to do would be remove T14 and refund everyone

hopefully they dont give it to the mark 7 churchill it using solidshot is the only thing keeping it balanced other wise its gonna get raised in br very quickly

If the US gets the Excelsior then sure

Oh, well would you look at that.

No. There was only 1 joint program, the T14, being a US/UK project. The A33 Excelsior was a purely British project.

The Brits wanted an assault tank, they had a go at doing it themselves, culminating in the A33, and at the same time they had a go with a collaborative project with the Americans, creating the T14.

You seem to have some wires crossed thinking that because the T14 was a joint project that the A33 was too? This is incorrect.

+1, add it to the British tree as a TT or always-available premium vehicle and keep the US prem one available.

KV-1E doesn’t quite have the same glaring frontal weakspots as the T14 (turret face, massive MG port), and the T14 also doesn’t get access to the bonkers angled pen russian APHE.

It really isn’t “op” unless you’re in a KV-8 lul, unless you’re talking about how much better on average UK players are

This and the M22 should be in the British tree

It’s primarily because the US continued developing it when the British dropped out. majority of the production and such for prototypes was from the US.

dude the Excelsior which is more OP already is in the british tree. -1

I’d be ok if it went to 5.0. Then we have a need for the T14 to come to the tree at 4.7

And the Boarhound.

It’s an incredibly rare event vehicle that costs almost 90 Gaijin coins on the marketplace.

Why? The T14 was made for the British, the Excelsior was made for the British. That’s just cope.
