Yeah, any penetrating hit to the turret 9/10 times destroys your breech and autoloader, as well as your turret ring. In fact, any hit to your tank that doesnt outright kill you leaves you crippled…

in WT vehicle which manages to land penetrating shot first, usually wins the engagement.
In the T-90A vs. 2A4 scenario, the T-90A has much greater chance to do so.
- it has a better optics (TVD) which allows to detect and ID much bigger 2A4 sooner
- does need to aim for the weak spot, center of the mass is enough
- has solid front armor which forces 2A4 crew sped valuable time aiming for weak spots
Slightly difference in reload rates is mostly irrelevant.

Could just add 2A5 and 2A6 to the lineup like China gets four very good ZTZ-66s-99s.
considering T-90A somehow has 2016 3BM60 with 560 effective pen (580 nominal), Baulos will stay papier-mache
The problem is that the T-90A was introduced in “new power” the same update as the L2A6 and at the same BR, the end result is that the T-90A got absolutely curb stomped into the mud and down tiered as a result, now it sits at a BR where it has no line up so you either need to up tier 10.7s/10.3s to play with it, that hurts it’s win rate. Or you need to up tier it to 11.7, where it is still usable, but not amazing, which keeps it’s K/D lower than it would be if played at 11.0.
As far as Sim. goes, looking at the brackets, they need to re-work it after the last BR changes, some nations cap out at 10.7, while others have as high as 12.0
L2A6 is the reason the T-90A is at such a low BR in the 1st place.
maybe replace the 2a4 with the baulos 8, keeping it at the same br and introduce the wannabe 2a5 with muss
i’ve heard the 2A4 is the most balanced MBT at 10.3
+that sim optics made hitting weak spots harder than grb
Personally I would rather remove T-90/ZTZ-99 and meep this bracket to 10.ish vehicles rather then inflate it with more nearly TT stuff.

Anyhow from the 2A4 perspective if the T-90A is removed next in line is T-80B which is quite good match-up.
If the ZTZ-99, Al-Khalid are removed next in line is ZTZ96A which is probably still better then the 2A4.
GB can downgrade to Challenger Mk.3. Some other nations might require some tweaks to bring all MBTs to something like 400±mm pen and Gen1 TVD.
Leo2a4 sucks against 10.7 BR tanks, you need extreme effort to make a difference. P.S. Turret basket makes you insane
