They unironically need to give better armor to Click-Bait alongside even better ammo than M829A2 to make those ODL players usable in a match.
It’s sad seeing top tier being ruined by ODL wallet warriors just like 9.3 / 10.3 has been for a while now.

The m829a1 could already pen most tanks. M829a2 really doesn’t change anything and doesn’t fix the Abrams’s greatest weakness, its massive turret ring which should be volumetric and not 50mm CHA. It should be like 200-300mm CHA.
The M1s are still a good tank overall though and most of the skill issue for the US comes from the endless hordes of premium players.
I would said that you would have to change your play style since you wouldn’t play against 8.7-9.0+ BR as much as before.
Plus when you got uptier there 90% change that enemy team going to have some vehicles that can lol-pen your UFP. At that point you would have to treat T-80B like a light tanks.
At least It got good enough Fire power + Thermal and good mobility to work around.
But good luck when majority of maps are somethings like Cargo port , Advance to the Rhine , etc
Also this decompression only apply to 8.7-9.7 Since it was majority of 10.3 that are move up.

The issue i have now is all 10.3s are seeing m829a2 which is a top tier round which used to be able to only see.10.7 (mbt 2000s, t90s etc) which all had top tier rounds to fire back.
Now can see tanks such as the 2a4, t80B, chally 1s etc
It is volumetric the turret ring and it is absolutely ludicrous tbe t80B, leo2a4s ,challanger 1s can see arguably one of the best if not thr best rounds in the game.
On an incredibly mobile, fast reloading, potent platform.
The abrams tanks did not need the m829a2 and tbe fact the HC which is what i use. Can smoke everything in one tap from 10.7 to 12.0 shows how potent the round is.
It could already do that with m829a1. I would trade m829a2 and the 5s reload for volumetric turret. It would end the crying from both sides.

and the M829A2 is far better than teh A1, it spalls a lot better as well as can literally lol pen through even the toughest of stuff.

the 5 seconds reload and the M829A1/A2 is absolutely diabolically good.
edit and on topic rn the most oppresive thing is the tyoe 90s they absolutely dominate 10.3 to 11.3, hell im taking mine out just to club a bit xD
which is strange, they remove DM53 which was for a nano second given to the 2PL. now the E1, AIM and 2 PL are stuck 1 step below top-tier with 532mm of penetration.
Don’t get me started on the ODL crowd, my record still stands at 10 in a single battle on my side.
Chally 3 does have DM53 at 11.7 though.
challanger 3 is also a useless platform that with DM53 should be 12,0
its armour is non existent, its mobility cant hold a candle to the abrams either.
To boot the abrams has a 5 second reload , challanger 3 no where near that

the challanger 3 i stopped grinding for due to the challanger 2s being the single worst MBTs at top tier now.
They are ridiculously broken. and not in teh good way.
The challanger 3TD got its engine power nerfed last time they touched it, turret armour is modelled incorrectly as far as the bug reports go, the reloads laughlably slow compared to most if not all other top tier MBTs a full second slower than every other trees top tier bar the T80BVM and ztzs (which again a report for the ztzs puts its reload faster).
yeah its also the slowest top tier, with the armour being completely irrelevant due to the gigantic breach shot, for a tank thats supposed to be the next best MBT in the world. oh and no spall liner.
lets look at the abrams.
M1A1 HC is rank 7
only has a smattering of tanks before it.
is highly mobile.
in my experience armour works better than the challangers when hull down.
rounds massively better than the challanger 2s and id say better than the DM53 due to small generation.
5 second reload aced, compered to challanger 2 at 11.7 which has 4 ready rack rounds at 5.4 secodns then the rest are slows. and chally 3 which is a full second slower.

That one nation that people have comments on but doesn’t played it to say that it’s actually good or not. USSR is mid, has nothing to give to the gameplay beside tank after tank.

I’ve played 7.0 and above and can say Russia is good. Atleast 7.0- top tier.
No wonder why my 120S has much better KDR than the TURMS-T
