The kpz has no armour, the atgm has a 19s reload and sucks in penetration. The apfsds also sucks despite being a 152mm shell.
As well as the entire hull.
i wouldn’t want to fight a kpz with good armor and amazing mobility i think the armor mobility trade of is good for its br of 9.3s where most tanks have average speed
i beg to differ you are making it seem like the entirety of all NATO tanks are slow poorly armed and very weak leopard1s do have poor armor because they are sniping tanks they are built for long distance engagements same goes for the kpz these tanks can crest on hills and snipe enemies at cap point something russian tanks cant they have to stay low since they are built for flat grounds with little hills but the thing is that there are almost no maps like that best map for these tanks i can think for these tanks are sinai and many NATO tanks are well armored with great turret control something soviet tanks don’t even have such as the leopard 2s in conclusion NATO tanks have great armor (most of the time) decent armament amazing gun handling and mobility while the only thing soviet tanks have going for them is their gun armor and sometimes mobility like the t80b but things like gun handling are very important when the only thing you can do is flank under a tree line the turret traverse on soviet tanks has gotten me killed many times just because i cant turn my turret up or to the side fast enough
Dw, the speed and ridge fighting capavility is mostly all u gotta worry about for the kpz

Aside from the strv 122 and the 2a7s all leos have bad hull armour and good turret armour.
Theyre no better overall than the T series of their comparable BRs.
If you wanna see weak tanks look at the ariete and sometimes the leKEKs.
Honestly the only t series i have is the GDR t72m1 and i friggin love that thing.
Its a pleasure to play and literally like ur on easy mode.
Maybe its because the overall playstyle is more CHARGE AHEAD TROOPS! Or COD style but the gun is amazing (i could ask for more vert speed and non stab horizontal traverse but thats it.)
Also most t series have good mobility as well.

10.7 got murdered by the MM, if there is any russian bias it’s having a 10.3 premium lineup. A lot more 11.x premiums floating around now.
Russian tanks do not play like leopards or abrams at all. If I could take off all the ERA to double my reverse and speed and gun depression/handling I would.
You are correct. However that goes for any nation. And i can tell you it’s much easier to fight 2A5/2A6/PSOs and Abramses in a T80B then fighting T80Us and 72B3s in 2A4s and 105 M1s.
Simply because the 3BM42 can still punch through the UFP of a 2A5/6/PSO and abramses at most engagment distances. While M774 and DM23 will strugle against some better armored tanks at their own BR (292, Moderna, T72B [1989] and T90A). Thankfully the weakspots remain the same. But those weakspots are not allways easy to hit.
I didnt say russian tanks. I said T80B does. Has about as weak hull as M1 and 2A4 does. Has better turret armor then 2A4 and 105 M1 does. Is about as fast forward. Is slower in reverse yes and has worse turret traverse and depression. But in return it get’s an autoloader and a shell that has same issues penning 10.7 tanks as it does penning 11.7 tanks.
That’s why i said they play alot more like 2A4 and Abramses then you’d think. Didn’t say they play exactly the same. And i was only talking about the T80B. It’s why i specified the T80B.

Overperforming, I don’t think so, if you’re so sure about that maybe the problem is you. But regarding myself, I may not play Soviet and Russian vehicles as people think they should play, I don’t do overwhelming gameplay, only one vehicle per match.
And to be honest, on you, you particularly isn’t doing great either, first of all you have no experience with Soviet vehicles besides some planes and the Ka-50, your highest battle rating tank is the M1A2 Abrams followed by a few vehicles and even with all this “Haha you suck!” your kill/death ration also doesn’t help your situation neither.
If your main and sole goal in the Forums is just making fun of others and yelling “But this is messed up, because of Russian bias.” or some bull shit like that, put your brain to work and have some value before throwing crap at others like a ape, because this is your profile in the Forums in a nutshell.

While OPs point is absolutely indefensible there isint a hope in hell that RU vehicles have a bias towards em. Tanks are mid, not OP not unusable as a whole just center of the pack. Germany/Sweden hold that trophy. Light/Support Vics Id say america edge out in over all, SPAA till this incoming patch RU held the top spot my money is pantsir staying top 3 in the hands of a skilled player but where I couldnt say.
Air has always been america dominated since we got past the F-4E/Mig-21Bis phase with the occasional couple of patches where some one would eclipse them but it would then return to form fairly quick.
For helicopters USSR have the best airframes but a tier 2 armament (FnF armaments are just that good for helis).
Coastal is where russia excels and thats in spite of gaijins mishandling of things like torpedo loadouts and AA defences on the modern boats.
Blue water has always been a toss up between Japan, Germany and Britain for the most part, with the odd patch cycle or two where things deviate from that.
If we wanted to go a step further because I know someone will wheel out the KH-38 or try to point to Vikhrs in 2025 for the entire lifetime of guided ordinance been in the game NATO and specifically America have had it the best for longest. Outside of now in the post KH-38 era and the addition of the Mig-27K (Which finally brought an amount of parity only to be eclipsed the F-16A’s that would come about a year later) Its been Nato sided. Bullpups had no equal on REDFOR for nearly 3 years and dont get me started on TGPs (while slim there were options like Khod on Su-25TM/39 or the current T-220 pod on the 29SMT).
In conclusion take your accusations of bias elsewhere, it aint productive and is categorically false.
Its because people dont really have a realistic chance to try out other nations especially at higher tiers. Its taken me about a year of some degenerate play (and a lot $$$) to grind out russia air, ground, and helis and play all the lineups and spade them from rank III to VIII.
Its hard to appreciate the shortcomings of stuff when you only have a single perspective. When I used to only play germany i thought russia was OP.
Not to take away from your point cause you do make a good one but if people spent even a small amount of time researching what they play against they’d fast come to similar conclusions. I have never and will likely never play America as a tree, it just doesn’t interest me especially when the vehicles I may want to try end up in other trees with more shit I want to play, doesn’t mean I’m not proactively learning about them and their performance in game so I can make informed decisions and educated guesses as a match progresses.
Some people are just happy to take what spookston or Phly or insert clickbait war thunder CC here say as gospel or worse they actively take places like the Reddit as gospel, no shit they end up believing in Russian bias unironically. Point and case there is people on the Reddit who believe DIRCM is a new thing and not a mechanic thats nearly 5 years old at this point, because of some changes to IR AGMs on DEV. There are barely any tanks who’s armor works in uptier.
Russian MBTs armed with the 125mm cannon have the easiest stock grind of all. Hell i still use HE as my main round on the T80s. Seriously. Use the HE before you get the first sabot. It’s really good so long as you try and slap it on the roof of tanks.
3BM22 is a 9.7-10.0 APFSDS round at 9.3 not the other way around. That you cannot make it work against Abramses and leopards is a skill issue on your part.
3BM42 is a good enough APFSDS round for 11.7 let alone 10.7 or 10.3. Once again nothing but a skill issue.
Yes because honestly the 152 gun launcher is just straight up bad at 9.3 untill you get the APFSDS round which is allready very mediocre for it’s BR. Which you wouldn’t know because you never played them. But as someone who played everything but italian tanks i can confidently tell you that even the allready badly nerfed M735 is better then XM578E1.
That’s because you are stock most likely. The T80B is one of the fastest tracked vehicles (Forward speed). And the reverse is good enough.
The armor of the T80B is about as good as any other vehicle at it’s BR that isnt russian or chinese honestly. Only russians at this BR have the luxury of being able to tank shells with their UFPs. As even 3BM22 can pen the UFP and Gunner side of turret of leopards at 2KM.
Funnily enough. From every NATO main i know and play with i hear complaints about the exact opposite. Where they hate how maps become flatter and flatter and i kinda agree.
Skill issue honestly. The Type 90 has fast reload sure. But it’s armor is even worse then that of a 2A4. It mainly relies on speed, fast reload and fast turret traverse. So try to push it with a teammate only i guess. However once you do get the gun on it you can pen it nearly everywhere as it has bad armor even compared to most 10.3 vehicles.
Honestly this entire threat smells of massive amounts of skill issue coming from a player that has never tried anything else. And instead of adapting and learning is complaining and doing the same thing over and over and over again. Hoping the outcome would change. Have you ever heard the definition of insanity good sir?
as i said they either have a good gun in this case they have bad armor but they atleast have a gun that can manage in uptiers

ok i agree that i do have some skill issue in grb but you cant just dump all issues into that and call it skill issue there are real issues like the map design being favored to tanks with good gun depression and pretty slow turret traverse for a tank that is built for flanking it feels more like a tank destroyer than a tank and yes i have tried all tactics some work some dont right now nothing seems to work for the t80b

I don’t just aim for the turret roof. And most of the time if you slap the front top of the hull it will kill. It isn’t point and click sure, but i’d trade stock heat-fs for something similiar to russian he-fs shells immediately. I just hate the heat-fs. And the fact you can just slap roofs of tanks that are hiding? Cheff’s kiss honestly. Also funnily enough. For most tanks the weakspots for 125mm HE overpressure remain the same. I think only like the Strv122s and 2A7 can no longer be overpressured by yeeting a 3OF26 at it’s hull roof. You can still aim for the CITV/Cupolas for easy kills tho. Especially the Sep V2 is really easy to kill like that because of all the crap you have on the turret.
Well yes. Obviously there are parts where you have to aim abit. This is still an MBT 0,7BR higher then the T80B. Especially with the weakest APFSDS round available on that vehicle. I said 3BM22 is 9.7-10.0 worthy not 10.7+ You can still pen the Type 90 allmost anywhere with the 3BM42 without much issues tho. Just be carefull for extreme angles but that goes for every tank.
Actually yes. Very mediocre. Keep in mind that at 9.0 tanks are starting to get (105) DM33 and at 9.3 some tanks even have access to (105) DM63.
Also neither of those tank that you showed have good hull armor. And all 3 can be penned by some 8.0 tanks.
90% of those hills are unclimbable (i hope i wrote that right). So what looks like a crap load of hills is actually a crap load of cover and we are still forced to use the “main” roads which are pretty dang flat. Except for A point i guess where you can use your superior gun depression for once.
Honestly the map design is just bad overall. There are very few maps i actually enjoy playing. And funnily enough most of those maps are hated by the community (Pradesh my beloved, Mars, Volokolamsk, Fire Arc, Big Tunisia, Big Sinai).
This is something you’d better get used to however. There are 4 russian tanks that have turret traverse as fast as other nato tanks. Three of them are at the end of their line and one of them is a premium.
Each tank has some kinks that you have to work around. The Abramses are loud and have extremely weak hulls, Leopards cannot really engage anything from even slightly behind, Challengers are just bad, Arrietes have no armor, Leclercs have a nuke in the front of their tanks that’s masquerading as a fuel tank etc etc.
Because you have played only Russia you are most likely not aware of those kinks that other nations have. But they are there. Grass is allways greener at the other side and all that.
I’ve started out as a german main and Jumbos were my absolute bane. Then i started playing the US to try those OP jumbos and i got sht on by IS-2s and T34/85s. So i thought “huzzah russian bias of course” Went to play IS-2s and i got sht on by tigers and Jumbos. Took me almost a solid year before i realized the problem was me not the tanks.

i dont like to believe that 1 time when playing on vietnam i died to a leopard 2k and guess what he was sitting on that big mountain at the centre of the a point note that entire area was covered in rocks to my knowledge after that i scanned every single piece of map so that i dont die to a leopard sitting on a rock with a 45 degree slope

when i was relatively new to the game when i was only a air tree player and my best plane was the mig21smt that battle pass event where you get the f2g for free was going on, i grinded the hell outa that thing because i was so done with those shtty nr30s on the mig21 f13 i wanted that 4 digit ammo count on my planes and as soon as i got the f2g and got into a match oh boy i demolished the enemy the yaks 3us that i absolutely hated flying proved to be utter garbage 1 burst and that thing was on fire i didnt even have to aim just spam the left mouse key and have fun speaking of fun that was the only time i had fun in a prop and to an american prop then you may ask why dont you switch to america well because i like russia better not because of how good the vehicles are but cuz they are simply cool as hell and i like russia so it may be my playstyle thats wrong mabye im fit to play nato
Because except for the few 8.0 tanks that have the gun to kill them easily. The rest dies to them even easier because stabilizer, APFSDS (even if it is rather crap) and it has good enough armor against most of them. They used to bully 7.7 tanks to oblivion.

There are spots like that here and there. But gaijih is working tirelessly on making sure you are not able to climb any small pile of rubble. I see someone in cheesy spot maybe once per week or two.
