A Serbian T-72B1MS “White Eagle” main battle tank utilizing its ESS capabilities.
- Description :
- The T-72B1MS “White Eagle”, or Object 184-1MS, is an upgraded T-72B1 that was designed for the export market. Unveiled in 2012 at the Engineer Technologies defense exhibition, the T-72B1MS features several upgrades over the base T-72B1, which itself is a standard T-72B that lacks the capability to fire GL-ATGM’s. The original T-72B1 was designed as a cost-effective option for the Soviet military by removing the coded laser guidance beam 1K13-49 sight assembly from the vehicle. Building off the original design, UralVagonZavod, a Russian Defense Company, developed the T-72B1MS “White Eagle” which incorporates a new gun stabilizer, a PN-72U Sosna-U Gunner’s sight, a PKP-72 Falcon’s Eye Commander’s Panoramic sight, both of which feature advanced thermal technology and automatic target tracking, GPS/GLOSNASS navigation system, front and rear camera’s, an Auxiliary Power Unit (APU), chassis information-management system, remote controlled 12.7mm Kord machine gun, and more. The T-72B1MS utilizes the same chassis, power pack, and Kontact-1 ERA, of the original T-72B1 to prevent rising costs. In 2020, the Serbian Ministry of Defense released images and a statement that the Serbian Army had acquired 2 of 30 White Eagles which will supplement existing M-84 and T-72M1 main battle tanks. These vehicles were donated by the Russian Federation and were first delivered in October of 2020 by Il-76TD transport aircraft. These White Eagles will further enhance Serbia’s defense needs.

- In-game :
- The White Eagle is a main battle tank that compares well with the T-72AV (TURMS-T) currently found in-game. Both vehicles feature very similar capabilities with the White Eagle having a taller panoramic sight. This will assist the crew in seeing over barriers however, it can be an easy target for HE rounds. The White Eagle can optionally equip cage armor to help protect the vehicle from HEAT-shaped charges, preventing easy engine fires. The White Eagle would serve well as a pinnacle of rank VI within a future Yugoslavian tree.
- Estimated Battle Rating: 10.0.
