T-64 115mm / Object 432 the first MBT of the second generation!

oh there is nothing wrong with the tank it just doesnt make sense to have it in the TT as a “prototype” t64, when it really wasnt

T-64 discussed went out of prototype stage and was accepted into service. It’s also a mass produced vehicle, it had long course of trials, was accepted in 1966, massproduced until 1969 (better variants were accepted) in a number of 1100+~.
“Object” doesnt mean it’s always a prototype, it’s just GBTU index of a tank.
For example T-80U is Object 219AS.
In this case T-64 is Object 432.
It’s not wrong to call them either of names.

Thank you everyone for your votes and your support.
I suppose if this suggestion continues like this, we’ll see it soon.
And yes, the 115mm with autoloader should be very interesting, and probably faster than the 7.1 seconds of the 125mm cannons.

I know (i knew about what objekt meant, not that they produced 1000+ obj 422.) i was saying that out of the vehicles that were supposed to come before first TT t 64 the object 435 made the least sense to add to TT imo, object 432 wouldve made more sense as i already said. And i used the world prototype wrongly

I think this tank should have been implemented before the T-64A.
But it’s never too late.

I think making history of development part a spoiler and suggesting it’s weaponry be same as T-62, maybe adding 3BM6 or 3BM21 just because of how bad basic T-62 APDSFS rounds are.

How do I make a spoiler?

Spoiler

Thats what you should search for

You click on settings (gear button) and more options should pop up.
You need “Hide details” part.
It will insert this into your text

Spoiler

IMG_20240131_111319

Then you move needed text into the area where it says “This text will be hidden”.
You can move either parts of the spoiler to make it bigger. You can insert texts into it by copying existing texts, pasting it inside and deleting the original only after.
You can remove the “This text will be hidden” ofc.
If done properly it should work just like the hidden image in beggining of my comment.
On PC you should search for similar thing, it’s just that it’s position might be different.

To edit post/comment you need the pen button “Edit”

So it would only use 3bm3 and 3bm4, maybe 3bm6 but it’s no better than 3bm3 as I know.
But I’m willing to see this too, Object 021, 115mm T-64A with GMT-69021hydromechanical transmission, providing 4 fully reversible forward gears and automatic gear shifting capability. Plus 900hp new V-60N engine.

He won’t use-3bm3/3bm4/3bm6…

I’m not sure if the translator is correct, so I’m confused.
After all, what ammunition does the 115mm T-64 use?

+1 for sure! It’s shocking we don’t have the T-64 already. Quite good addition for 9.0, though compression around that BR would make it an absolute menace.

Unlike the T-62, the T-64 has a loading mechanism…Shells with separate loading (projectile + propellant charge) are used…

The data of 3bm5 seems close to 3bm6, maybe same apfsds projectile?

The first representatives of this line of shells for 115 mm tank guns were U-5TS: 3BM4, 3BM28 Nadfil-1, 3BM21. They were of the unitary type and had good armor penetration indicators for their time and caliber: from 2000 m to 380 mm of homogeneous steel at an angle of 0 degrees. For another 115 mm tank gun, separate loading shots with a 3BM-5 shell and various types of propellant charges were D-68 used. Penetration was provided up to 400 mm from a distance of 2000 m at an angle of 0 degrees.

380mm at 2000 meters at 0º is the same as the 3BM22 of the 125mm T64A.

Which is excellent performance for the 115mm cannon.

Balance comes first in the game…therefore, there are other values in the game…

But by this tab 3BM22 in game matches penetration from the image you have provided.

We estimate an 80% penetration probability (0.2 is the quantile of the armor penetration distribution function). This is called guaranteed (or regulatory) armor penetration.
The average armor penetration was introduced by ours in connection with exports. It is difficult to explain to a foreign customer that in fact your BP is more bourgeois, it is simply measured with a probability of 80%.

…and then the forum pages…
