T-58 is severely undertiered at 8.7 — needs BR increase

Indeed, but don’t tell them! Muh op russia!

he’s 100% right btw. Add to that the fact that 8.7 is literally constant downtiers.

do you even have T-58 if you don’t I don’t want to hear your whining about how “op” it is

It definitely needs to be moved up to 9.0.

Did you even play the br bracket where the T58 is, against it, since it was sold recently?

If a vehicle can easily destroy one of the most armored and smart armor designs in-game and sits in lower battle rating it tells a lot about the issues said vehicle in bringing to the game. As @MotorolaCRO mentions constantly about T58 and similar subjects; shooting directly to the tracks is one of the easiest ways to get a score with HESH projectiles. Given the caliber, 2,6-seconds long reload time and explosive mass—T58 is more than eligible to have its battle rating increased from battle rating 8.7 to battle rating 9.0, it’s not a matter of “You never played with [x] vehicle, so your argument is invalid”; @Caernarvon02 brought obvious counterarguments to your comments.

Being honest, are we deadass? T58 numbers decreased heavily these past few months but at release was performing absurdly and keep good numbers high for a premium vehicle for a good time.

I’ve acquired the vehicle a bit later, in fact least than a month ago, playing with it, knowing its good armor and the use of HESH, it turned out to not be nothing sort of chore as people indicate with: “It’s a heavy tank.”, “It doesn’t have stabilizer or laser rangefinder” or “It will face APDS-FS”. It’s a heavy tank, thus has good armor, it doesn’t have stabilizer, most tanks with oscilating turret have decent stabilization, it doesn’t need laser rangefinder, the coincidence rangefinder still very useful, combining with the low velocity of the T152 HESH projectile you can lob this mini-bomb into people behind cover in some situations and it will face APDS-FS regardless, there are vehicles with APDS-FS available lower as battle rating 8.0. Whatever it may be the argument, 4.75 kill-death ratio or more is absurd, which I could manage to keep 5.00+ kill-death for a few more matches, naturally it lowered.

I played over 100 games with T58 last week its completely the same I just get T58 sheilds

What? Did you read my question?

many vehicles below 9.0 can destroy object 279 your also a Russian main trying to understand the enemy your tech tree gets way OP vehicles than USA T58 is only effective in the right maps any HE or HESH can destroy any tank with over pressure Abrams gets destroyed by hesh t-90 gets destroyed by hesh t58 gets destoryed by hesh smart armored tank was for far away nukes not close bombs

lol who said I can’t make the t58 work I never even said the t58 struggles all I said is it balanced and it more of a compression problem

after fighting them for a several hundred matches it gets quite apparent that they are absurd for their BR, the need to play a vehicle to call it OP is nonsensical. Ive never played the BMPT but the overwhelming majority here agrees that it is

Yall complain about 7.7 having to go up against something like the t58 when 5.7 has to go up against tanks like the tiger 2 ska. 16 witch has a 2.0 k/d… also other tanks with a good k/d means they should all go up in br as well then by what yall are saying. like how about the kv2 with a 1.80 k/d, KW I С 756 (г) with 2.37, Maus with 2.23, and of-40 with

1.92 I’m probably missing a few but I think yall get the point

Edit: not to mention event vehicles with +1.80 k/d and no it doesn’t exclude them I literally played against e100 and kv220 more than twice in a day

one problem at a time lol

What are those vehicles that can destroy Object 279 in one shot, specially a stupid shot to the track? Which matter of fact, the tracks on Object 279 was purposely designed to be away from the tank itself to improve the vehicle stabilization on ground before nuclear blasts, the vehicle should be able to sustain a direct hit to the track but the story tells otherwhise. Despite me playing USSR for the most part (since February 2022, the date of creation of my account) I don’t consider myself a USSR main, it’s not “my” tech tree or whatever. You’re doing a great favour to lowering T58 kill-death ratio if we’re going for statchecking.

anything with a large HE or HESH.

ive also one shot them in centurions and chieftains plenty of times. even hammered them to death in the fox on occasion.

M728 CEV can delete any tank with a track shot just like t58

VIDAR can delete any tank with a good shot

*almost any tank

maus is track overpressure proof but you can just hit the engine deck and blow them up with a CEV, AVRE or barn

maus isn’t you have to aim between the driver sight instant kill with HE or HESH

Doesn’t have to be plus their tanks that been here longer than the t58 with a k/d +1.80 k/d

this thread is about the T58. I agree that things like the KV220 are a much bigger problem than the t58 at its respective BR but thats for its own thread
