T-34/76 A (T-34/76 Model 1940).

+1 as premium. Since everyone has captured tanks or aircraft, I don’t see why Italy can’t have war prizes as well. The prevailing autarky has only led to disadvantages compared to others. Furthermore, they will soon add the Hungarian T-34/85 in the tech tree, so it makes sense to have one at a lower tier as well.

2 to be honest.

even better.

+1 alongside the 1941 and maybe even the 1942 versions. Each variant could be added in different ways.

Of course they can, but there was not a single indication of it coming.

And we hope for the italian T-34 more then the hungarian T-34.

I hope more for P40 prototypes honestly, not that interested in captured stuff.

Oh i lnow, but the proto P40 aren’t really powerful. The first is basically a fat M15/42.

Agreed. The only exception being the pre-production P40 with the cast transmission housing. The T-34s fill a niche and expand a line-up that indigenous Italian vehicles just kinda can’t.

It is a cool premium/battlepass/squadron +1

Its already halfway there, we dont need it worse

Just look at the Finnish subtree of Sweden to see how it will turn out, obviously with the necessary distinctions between Finland/Hungary since they haven’t had exactly the same things.

At least there’s the possibility of having an IS-2, that is, a heavy tank in the tech tree for those who don’t want to buy the Tiger. In the end, the T-34-85 is one of the best tanks in the game for its BR (battle rating), a BR where Italy doesn’t have many options for WWII tanks (in fact, it has almost none).

I don’t mind having Russian stuff in the tech tree if there are no alternatives; it’s better than nothing. However, certain choices are questionable, like the insistence on not giving Italy new or competitive vehicles (we’ve been waiting forever for the Italian Gepard).

For example, recently, there’s been a proliferation of small light tanks armed with APDS, but we get nothing, even though there are several Fiat and OTO models with 20mm or 25mm cannons that could be added (armored cars and the C13 family, for instance). But Italy still has to atone for the sin that in the past, players from other nations used the R3 to capture bases and then exit in the old task model for various events.

Nowadays, with all these vehicles (Fox class, to be clear), we could move past the old baggage and improve the R3 by giving it APDS or introducing something else into the game. Also, the bad behavior attributed to R3 players should be blamed on those playing other tech trees and not on those who consistently play Italy.

This because Gaijin prefer to add a tons of c&p instead of new vehicles.

Finnish line is a bit weird since iirc it is the only one (apart from Israel maybe) which brings captured (not even modified variants, despite there are options actually) tanks into the regular tree.

I don’t either and I’m ok with C&P, though imo all should be within adequate limits. Btw in the regular tree I would like to see Panther instead of T-34-85, it would make 6.0 line up stronger, plus this tank is kinda common for all 3 nations (used in combat by Hungary, served in Romania after WW2, planned to be built in Italy).
IS-2 idk maybe it would be ok as TT and I still have a lot of doubts that they will ever add 44M TAS, so it’s probably the only option or they will just leave heavy tanks behind paywall for Italian TT.
Btw about T-34-85, I read that there were some attempts to modernize it in Romania, such addition would be interesting for me, though still better as a rare/premium vehicle.

No, the blame should go to the players that were (or are) the classic R3 player of
Driving off to the Cap point, capping it alone, (leaving the teammates at a dissadvantage because less sp, because no cap)
Then the R3 dieing off, either leaving or going in a plane → dieing and leaving.
And often times the capped point by the R3 is then also taken by the enemy resulting in a major loss.

-1 from me. I’m not that far along the Italian tree, but from what I’ve played, there is no need for an Italian T-34. They never used it in service, and all it would do is bloat the Italian TT with an unnecessary vehicle. If you want to play with the T-34, play a nation that used it in service.

It wasn’t used in service, but it was tested.
And sorry but I prefer this than the hungarian T-34.

Hungary at least actually used T-34s in service unlike Italy, not that I think Italy should get either. Italy has no need for a T-34 at all, and shouldn’t get one period, the game has enough copy paste as it is.

Italy used in service the T/34-76B (the other version I suggested) for a short period during Barbarossa, so they used it.
And I would rather prefer first the “italian” T-34 and later the hungarian T-34.
