T-15 Armata with DUBM-57 Kinzhal turret for 2026?

The BMPT has been a lot of fun, I don’t think if had this much fun on WT since the days of the T-80BVM as the top tank. But this has got me thinking…

The BMPT is at BR 10.3 (which is great for that BR range), but it still leaves USSR / Russia lacking at top tier. I think it would be really cool if the T-15 Armata came in 2026. Specifically the DUBM-57 Kinzhal version. I think it would be comfortable at BR 12.0, maybe even 12.7?

It is armed with the 57mm from the 2S38 and 9M133 (Kornet ATGMs) in an unmanned turret. It has an hard-kill active protection system and can go at a top speed of 70km (also has good reverse speed.

Based upon how game-breakingly OP the BMPT has been, I dont think anyone wants the soviets to get anything for the next 5 years

The greed of russia players sometimes amazes me.

2s38 with kornet?

the position of atgm kinda annoys me

this vehicle seems really strong and it could destroy any tank, if it’s overpowered in the highest br then there would be no way to balance it

and knowing how things work it will probably sit at 9.7

lol

The main question is: next-generation vehicles for 2026? Which I’ll reply with somewhat confidence since there was nearly no hint for more modern machinery for ground nor naval: No, and even early 2027, probably no.

One of the issues with this vehicle is the low ammunition capacity for its 57mm autocannon only 80 rounds as well as a fairly low rate of fire of just 80 rounds per minute.

I’d like to see this one after we get the Kurganets-25 which BVV_d mentioned is in the plan

Has a LShO-57, Kornets, 8 Bulat missiles with a Afganit APS.

I think russia already has too many of these kinda of vehicles for the current environment.

and after BMPT-72 and BMPT-90 i dont want to see another one ever again

Unfortunately, the penetration of the LShO-57 is only 52mm, so I don’t think it will be particularly effective.

wait…

THE RUSSIANS MADE A HESH SHELL??!!??!!

being able to almost punch a hole through 52mm of steel its probably effective up to 70mm of armour.

not too bad when the 76mm HESH shell from a saladin armoured car/ scorpion CVRT would reach its effective limit at about 110mm of armour plate.

Although this photo supposedly shows an APFSDS round for this autocannon, there is no further information about it available.

Roughly speaking, yes

maybe HESH will be modelled right if a russian tank got it

What is this, some kind of prototype?

I hope we get this mini armata soon next year, or Kurganets along with VPK 7829 Boomerang.
