i mean yeah but this has been overhyped for a decade already
Not like other vehicles that have been overhyped for decades.
average european joint project
few milliards dollars were wasted and zero built :))
Not to confuse it, 20 we’re built But only around 12 are kind of operational and 3 are fully operational after fixing the issues with the engine but it’s already too late and expensive for Russia, and if You mean the MGCS i havent got anything yet since it’s still in planning phase and we havent seen a fully official build other that demonstrators, also another thing the T-14 engine couldnt run for much due to the issues it had nad just some T-14 got their engine issues solved
So at last we get a look into T-14 autoloader. Its very reminiscent of Obj 195´s -as been speculated for many years- but its a different design.
So, ammunition capacity in the end is 31 in the carrousel. There may be up to 9 more rounds stored in the turret bustle. RoF is of course unknown but I think it should be comparable to AZ/MZ types.
maybe if they added abrams newer than 1997 we could talk. To many top tier tanks that way to behind in tech to even compete with these vehicles.
SEP models ingame currently are much newer than that
no they are not, sure the era is new but the tanks themselves have no new armor. In reality if you look at the later sep v2s circa 2008 they have extra composite new optics and ammo along side Trophy aps.
v
The abrams specifically the sep series is the earliest models of each. When we look at the leopard 2a7v is a more modern 2a7 outfitted and put in service in 2018 compared to the 2a7s in 2014 being older models.
Its kind of a false argument. The biggest challenge is that so far no one has come up with a source specifying in which ways post 2000s armor packages differ from earlier HAP-2. On the other hand, late SEPv2 (2008 were still new) have had some armor changes and increases in weight but the “extra armor” you are pointing isn´t armor at all rather weight ballasts to balance the addition of Trophy APS.
even then is still 3.94 inches of steel added onto the front which would help against sabots and tandem warheads as it would take most of the hit before the composite.
Not to mention the fact that they have yet to model the Abrams correctly in game, the ufp should be able to bounce most shots taken at it all though in game is paper thin. There’s been plenty of reports on this issue to the point us service members have joined in on this topic of the abrams armor in game.
Well we don´t know what ballasts are made out of and neither its become a standard equipment for SEPv2.
In any case, this thread is for discussing a different tank and I think everyone can agree that when a new top tier worthy tank is suggested, its assumed that Gj will add analogues for the other nations as well.
Honestly, Russian vehicles are so crap (and so is the T-14s turret armor) that they could just add the old M1 TTB as a counter lol.
true, but not trying to deter the topic its still a little frustrating seeing the game advance even at this state with more modern stuff for other nations. Even if the things American players ask for are copy paste (APS on a abrams). Every update just adds useless filler vehicles and not any real modern “new” vehicles that we have been asking for years.
Blame Russia for making vehicles with crap reverse/rounds/reload making then HAVE to add a T-90M to be able to compete against a Leopard 2A7, gaijin just trying to balanced stuff
im not saying the 90m is op, if anything i would say the opposite, the leopards armor is very buggy.
I’d say ‘old’ rather than ‘crap’.
Besides, there’s really not much to go off of to claim the T-14 is either crap or great. But that wouldn’t even matter in the context of War Thunder where the majority of aspects which determine a tank’s worth aren’t relevant.
this is something i already know and i have even stated numerous times, the engine has been fixed yes but its already very late, they took quite a lot to fix it but there is no certainty that the vehicle will enter full production until an actual statement from russia
T-14 production will most likely begin/resume once “certain conflict” ends/cools down.
Alternatively, Russia will learn from the “events” and choose to continue T-90 production…
Apparently T-14’s turret is not well protected.
