Can someone explain to me why the Syrian Su 22m3 variant has only 12 countermeasures compared to the German counter part (which has well over 100). If you look at official photos from the Syrian Air Force, you will see the Su 22m3 has an extra flare dispenser located not to far from the engine.
If you copy and paste the link into your browser you will see what I’m talking about. It at least has 60 flare and chaff on each side.

This was already bug reported.
Im not sure I get what you mean?
idk why people focus on germany lmao, russia has it too and with the same CM amount. (Su-17 == Su-22)
btw this one pod shows 45 small CM and 28 large CM
twin on both sides would mean a total of 90 small CM and 56 large CM and add to that the 12 inbuilt into the fuselage and u get:
90 small CM + 68 Large CM
a decent amount.
just gotta get gaijin to implement it
gaijin devs have been notified about this modification that this aircraft can have. theyre taking a while to implement basically
Oh! thanks for clarifying, but I noticed people have been talking about this flare problem not long after the aircraft released a little less than a year ago, and so far gaijn has done nothing. Do you think realistically gaijn will actually do anything about this?
eventually.
like any business they have a priority list of tasks to get done…
this just like many other QoL fixes are probably not that very high up on that list
thats why it takes time

Because the Su-22UM3K has 128 countermeasures, and the equivalent Su-22M3’s in the USSR and Italy trees have 12.
Its not until the Su-22M4 and the Su-17M4 that they’re the same, 256.
Which then raises the question why the game compresses them all into one BR in ARB mode.
that is realistic.
the only reason the others dont have this is probably because either they didnt or, in case of the syrian one they were modified later and gaijin didnt know abt it.
although gaijin should just give the others the CM loadout for balance as they technically can mount them
And the Syrian Su-22M3 is unrealistic, the entire point of the post.
Even the Su-17M3 would have either 128 or 256, can’t remember, but they decided not to add that for some reason. And went with a Hungarian, changed to Syrian Su-22M3.
never argued against it.
idk why u thought i did lol
my only issue was why germany was even mentioned
I already explained that.
If two otherwise similar vehicles with big flare differences are at the same BR, of course people are going to compare them.
If enough people use the Su-22M3 and die to missiles then its performance will more adequately resemble its current state.
The fact Su-22M3 is 11.3 while J35XS is 10.7 is absolutely wild; Not saying they should be the exact same BR, but they sure shouldn’t be 0.7 apart.
i think 6 x 60Ms and 12 flares carry even the bad FM performance over a flying airbrake and rear aspect only missiles
“Flying airbrake” which means it can pull more than its sustained turn while Su-22M3 can’t, and Su-22M3 shares a similar sustained turn with J35XS.
On top of AIM-9Js still being a meta rear aspect missile.
The only thing that really separates them is the RWR which only really matters with countermeasure count to back it up, otherwise you’re on the deck anyway whether you have one or not.
IIRC all Su-22’s in game have the same BR’s , no matter which variant, or countermeasures count. I see no reason why the Syrian version should not get the additional CM dispensers as well…
