why the HELL does my swingfire not fire randomly?? im deadset looking at an enemy sometimes and spamming my mouse to get it to fire and nothing happens… id be happy if itd at least tell my why? like ive got full ammo, i thought it couldve been because i was blocked by a building but no, i did it in an open field today and the same damn thing happens. i caught an enemy off guard go to launch a missile into his face and no. im just sitting there for like 20 seconds not moving trying to fire these stupid missiles.
any help would be much appreciated as i do not understand it.
A video would be useful for others to see - perhaps the replay of the game you complain about.
Because your text description is just an incoherent rant that provides no useful information for anyone wanting to help you :(
It can also depend on the azimuth angle your firing at. The swingfire will not fire past your 3 or 9 o’clock positions due to fcs limitations.
honestly could be what tronexer said. my main issue is that its not exactly telling me whats wrong!
i wouldnt mind if its the azimuth but how on earth am i supposed to know that? i dont think it is that though because once i had an enemy on my 1 o’clock and it wouldnt fire. i might record a quick video tonight and see if it helps. thanks!
vid i made of my swingfire issue
Looks like the azimuth yes. I have never encountered that issue, because I always happened to rotate the vehicle in a way that I faced the target head on. The missile can be curved afterwards.
However, It’s pretty well known that the “SWING” in Swingfire is not swinging, nerfs and so on, the G limit on the missiles particularly awful. Don’t expect to be able to curve it 90° around a corner or anything like that.
