Swedish Vehicle Callsign Identifiers
There exists a somewhat common practice in the Swedish Army for vehicle crews to apply some paint/tape to their vehicles to indicate what their callsign is, presumably to make coordination easier and avoid miscommunication.
System
These callsigns are specified in what is called a FAL-A (Fasta Anropssignaler för Lägre förband inom Armén) sheet. Not all of these callsigns are used in practice, for example; a rifle platoon does not commonly contain 9 squads, even though they exist on FAL-A.
Each (tactically common) callsign is suffixed by the first letter of the parent organization callsign.
