Now that sweden has gotten the gripen E, long term, other than two seater gripens and the possible gripen maritime, what do you guys think gaijin could add to top tier sweden air?

Later version of Gripen E and Gripen NG of course.
Sweden can also get Norway F-35’s as well.

Not exactly top tier but as panther stated NG would be a contender. Then a later E model and you could throw in the Gripen A with Otis IRST.

Ah they also implemented IRST to JAS39A right? Still waiting for a JA37 with IRST+HMS combo btw.
Wasn’t hms also tested on that JA37 version as well?
Sweden be like: lets introduce IRST and HMS but not implement to our jets until later version of JAS39’s comes out.
It was insanely expensive, it also didn’t help that sweden was developing what would essentially be the Basis for Meteor by themselves.
Its on the wing btw, the image had a water mark and removing that screwed with the pylon so heres the same image and a side view

The missile on wingtip looks like pre model IRIS-T.
What is that thing exactly?

If you look at the JA37D in the photo above it also has that mockup missile, not the irist but the ramjet
I wouldn’t be surprised if this missile is the father of IRIS-T tbh.
Or at least similiar design that was designed by Swedish bureau.
