Super mirage F1 the dart aiming to pierce the sun

+1 a very cool South African vehicle

Pretty sure that’s a Magic I and not Magic II based on the consistent colouration of the nose section and South Africa not operating Magic IIs. Or possibly the V3C or U-Darter.

You mean not operating U-Darters or just it could a U Darter?

The missile is possibly a V3C or U-Darter, which used the same airframe as the Magic I but with a new seeker and fuze.

Vastly different seeker but I think also that the Magics were also all 6in in diameter but all V3s [with exception to A-Darter and V3S Snake (Python 3)] had a diameter of 5 inches

The V3C had the same 157mm diameter as the Magic. It shares a name with the V3A/B but is a different missile entirely, that being based on the AIM-9 (hence the 127mm diameter)

V3 was the standard missile but the V3A was loosely based on the Magic 1

The V3A had 20 missiles produced and was based on the V2 (AIM-9B) but incorporating technology from the Magic, which gave it similar performance. The seeker was deemed insufficient so the V3B was produced with an improved seeker and motor, this being the main production model with the V3A basically being pre-production. The V3C was its own thing based on the Magic while the V3S was just the Python 3.

Bumping isnt allowed so im writing this longer sentence as a way to bump without just saying bump or +1.

Or a mix of both in multiples of 10 chaff for 5 flares
I’d wonder how it work in-game because as far as I know all countermeasure systems are modelled as 1:1 exchanges with options to adjust the quantity by 1 or 2 (for symmetric pairs of dispensers)

Why not just update the old description and announce that it was updated?
Also you must figure out without the use of a calculator, how much fuel the Super F1AZ would need to fly around the sun and come back with 2000lb left of fuel exactly

My apologies. But you must still calculate the fuel

But I gues you are correct in your answer

Really? that’s what happened to upgrade the AZ? Thought there would be more but I guess you don’t need much more

I approve of all this information

@moderators Am I allowed to post a -1 flight manual?

Smin-“Nooo! If it something that makes the aircraft better!”

Is it restricted or classified?

It says restricted but I don’t believe it is anymore. If you look up “Mirage F1AZ manual” it’s the first result on Google.

UV/IR IRCCM (“colour guidance”) like a Stinger, plus ~50g maneuverability (est. U-Darter has the same airframe with upgraded internals and is stated as >50g manueverability)
