Welcome to my suggestion for the Supacat ATMP equipped with the Swingfire missiles for the UK tech tree.
History
In the 1982 Falklands war the British Army quickly found that they had no suitable vehicle that could negotiate the terrain of the islands for logistical purposes, with the majority of embarked vehicles being for combat. To rectify this the MoD set a requirement for a new lightweight and compact vehicle that could tow and carry more than the in service Snowcat. Three vehicles were tested, the Swedish BV202, a Land Rover and the underdog the Supacat 6x6 Mk1, which was originally designed for civilian use. The MoD purchased 7 of these vehicles for use on large open firing ranges.
The MoD formally created a revised requirement called the All-Terrain Mobility Platform (ATMP), in which the Supacat 6x6 Mk2 competed against 20 different designs and won out. 38 Supacat ATMPβs (as it came to be known) entered service in 1988 where it saw operations in Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan, it is still in service today.
In itβs long service life it was, as with many British vehicles, trialled with the Swingfire missile which had entered service in 1969. The swingfire launcher mounted was a light weight, easily transportable and adaptable launcher referred to as the Simplified Launcher (very easy to remember), which is shown below.
As you can see the sight for these missiles is separate which allowed swingfire to be shot over terrain without exposing the launch platform, in game this issue could be fixed simply by having the gunner hold the sight or simply mounting the tripod on the vehicle.
Specifications/Armament
The Supacat in game
The supacat in game would provide the British tech tree with a lightweight, fast and manoeuvrable vehicle that would bring more diverse gameplay to the tree, I believe this would be balanced at a lower BR than the already in game FV438 Swingfire, around 7.0 - 7.7 due to its lack of any armour, low crew count and limited missile load, only 4 plus the ammo crate, unless gaijin decided to add it with a trailer (a common sight to see with the ATMP).
