Sun Yat-sen or Sun Zhongshan is a world-renowned Chinese politician who devoted himself to toppling the monarchistic Qing Dynasty rule and establishing a democratic Chinese republic by raising funds for armed rebellions & spreading propaganda.
His goal was reached when the Wuchang uprising in 1911 happened triggering a chain reaction of uprisings across China remembered as the Xinhai revolution, finally putting an end to the Manchu rule.
He served briefly as the 1st President of the Chinese Republic , whose title he had to cede to General Yuan Shikai’ due to his superior might proclaiming himself as the Emperor of China and thus launching China into the chaotic Warlord period.
Replanning to reunify China again by crushing the Warlord Cliques, he set up a new KMT separatist government in Guangdong Province which he governed from 1921 till his death in 1925, during which he also founded an Aviation Academy, since one of his priorities was Aviation development laying out the path for the RoCAF.
In honor of him after his death, his first name "Zhongshan"was painted on the planes of the Aviation Academy.
