Well this sale is rather disappointing. I was hoping to pick up the Draken and the Kfir, and maybe more. Instead we have… this. And the comments on the news have been turned off too. Curious, that.

its interesting how when all premiums are at sale, people complain about new players easily and cheaply buying into top tier, but now suddenly people suprised by this?
the diffrence is, gaijin didnt listend to us when we said “please no more premiums for new players and buying the way into toptier”
so, now we are sitting at 10 toptier prems so we can for sure use them
Ok first thing I asked a about the premium account
Because I think in last year summer sale there was sales on premium accounts and I got one year premium time and mine ended a week ago so I was waiting for the sales.
Second I didn’t complained about the sales nor am I angry maybe a little bit disappointed but it’s ok I will wait for another sale.
But why are you offended is it because of the diablo 4 thing.
Ok I honestly was telling a fact I’m playing both games for a while now and I enjoy war thunder more then diablo but without premium time I will focus on diablo more then war thunder.
Let me end with this:
Sales are a way for gaijin to make money and attract players and if they don’t wan’t to it’s there right to do so.

You got your premium account from last year’s spring sale & probably thought in your memory that was summer due to similar enough timeframe.
Not offended, just pointing out things are status quo, just Gaijin forgetting rank 7s are 3 patches old now. Likely forgot because of stresses they’ve had to deal with recently.
I think that all of this could have been avoided by simply communicating. What do I mean by that. Over the course of the last year’s they made a sort of pattern concerning sales. Using this pattern it was logical to assume that the next sale window will be at least similar fueling a hype. When the Summer Sale 2023 went live, well… 404 not found and that lead to dissatisfaction. The motivation used (because of last may sale) at a first glance seemed logical, but the damage was done. Could this have been avoided? Yes, by simply making an announcement in May that the pattern is going to change.
Are they forced to make such an announcement? No, BUT they are gambling with a currency that is hard to earn and fast to lose: customer trust and please correct me if I am wrong. After all that turmoil in the past weeks caused by the lack of communication that materialised the eco changes, the same lack of communication strikes back.
All could have been avoided if in March for exemple, there was an official announcement like: “Guys, the pattern for the sales is going to change and the May sale will be different than the Summer Sale. The differences will be:…”.
Perhaps this. FYI, last year’s May Sale was pretty bad. Considering that this year’s May Sale was a very big deal, I think the Summer Sale nerf is a no-brainer.
My personal favorites are the Des Moines and Turm III sales! This one is probably worth buying.

Hello Once More. May I ask now that hopefully the war thunder team has realized the discontent of the community that enjoys their game and whom which to invest in some of the premium offerings. Would you say that there could possible be a change that may include the remaining vehicle that have been previously on sale?
Perhabs you could easy everyone state of mind on the subject and offer hope for those who would like to keep enjoying your game.

I was willing to drop 150$ and I dont spend much on this game usually, but I wanted to encourage the way Gaijin was doing things economically, but then they pull this
Yeah exactly, I was also going to be spending alot of money on this sale, but nah.
Same i knew i was already going to spend at a minimum $170. They don’t care though, if they were listening they would’ve added the rank 7 jets and rank 6 vehicles to the sale by now.
Even some big name YouTubers that make Warthunder videos are saying how bad this sale is. At this point it just feels like Gaijin is retaliating for what had happened with the people that did steam reviews.
look at the “sale” this way … rank5 (or lower) premium vehicles are now way less useful than ever before and are getting less useful with every new update bringing new batch of vehicles to (mostly) high ranks of TT.
Rank8 for aircraft (and probably soon for tanks) added huge ammount of grind on top of the already colossal pile of grind WT already had and now the highly anticipated sale has the theme of “We’ll only discount vehicles that can barely get players half-way towards top tier”. And with Gaijin heavily favoring adding more and more high-rank vehicles the situation will only get worse, even for rank6 premiums. When looked at purely as RP grinder and judging how large (or small) part of TT you can research with that vehicle, any rank5 premium vehicle now looks like a waste of money given how fast you run into the extremely harsh rank difference RP penalties.
This looks more like an attempt to squeeze every last bit of $$$ at full price from rank6 premiums (especially tanks) when they are still useful, before top tier rank8 changes make them far less interesting and before rank7 premium tanks make them pretty much obsolete.
Remember Gaijin adding T-2 Early pack for Japan, selling it for 60$, only for it to be made completely obsolete barely two months later by Apex Predators update & rank7 premium jets? Yep, something like that, just on a much wider scale … and using already existing premium vehicles instead of having to bother with the hassle of adding new ones
