Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection

Me neither, though this may have better validity than some “game based 3rd reference”. Aren’t we?

The graphs were given to show how much the Su-27 surpasses the F-15 and F-16.With the current FM, it’s clear that she’s a shit

When we have the manuals for both F-15 and Su-27 there is no need to use a Russian graph with performances of both.

Let us compare the primary manuals and the in-game performance. Currently the Su-27 out-rates the F-15 in-game as expected.

Ah I see, so now we get an empty weight of 16300kg, which is seems to be derived from the equation of “50% of normal fuel load” (2610kg of fuel) = 18920kg, where a normal fuel load consists of tank 2 (4160kg) and tank 3 (1060kg), at a density (γ) of 0.785 as told by the manual.

But still, from the same manual, how “50% of normal fuel load” (18920kg) + 2 R-27 + 2 R-73 would sum up to 20000kg is totally beyond me.

2xR27ER weighs about 700kg then you have the pylon weight then same goes for R-73x2 about 200kg and then add pylon weight

Ducky!!

20000- 2×253-2×105-2×97.5=19089кг
19089-16300=2789kg fuel
2789×2=5578
What corresponds to a normal refueling

this is still bothering me a lot, look at this mig, the guy gave the missile a lot of lead by pulling a lot of AoA and when he fires the missile, the missile follows a totally different trajectory to the direction the plane is pointing, the missile would have hit the other guy if it didn’t do this
i marked the video(maybe go back by 2 or 3 seconds tbh), just check, same thing that i shared last time

Dev server, if it is still an issue on live I will submit a report.

you can test the same thing in the live server rn, it will happen with the 29 if you try to pull max AoA with full reall to lead the missile and quickly shot, the missile will follow a weird trajectory, like i said , it seems that the pitch up it’s so sudden that the game still thinks the plane is in the initial position before the cobra maneuver, so the missile goes in the direction the plane was initially pointing, not the direction the plane pointed after doing the cobra.

also for some reason but that might be only my impression, it looks like the r73 has a little delay to start turning? not sure, but it shouldnt since it is a High Off-Boresight missile

And I don’t trust American resources, none at all, they are false in 99% of cases.
Should I stop using these graphs because of this?
Stop arguing, above we compared 2 aircraft, and not a discrepancy with the graphs.
The Su-27 should be much better than the F-15 at speeds up to ~1000 km/h, that’s a fact. This is not implemented in the game, it needs to be fixed.
We will receive current data about the aircraft no earlier than the next DEV server.

Sustained turn rates prior to the Su-27 Oswald efficiency buff last seen on the dev server.

As you can see, Su-27 even when loaded with 30 minutes fuel beats the F-15 in sustained turn up to 400 knots.

It should have even higher sustained turn now that it’s been buffed slightly.

The developer has incorrect geometric parameters in the code

The area of the developer’s Tail is 12, in reality 15.4

I look forward to seeing your report on it!

This isn’t a report, they will not see this. Please submit it on the community site.

If this table is a actual, then the Su-27’s configuration is incorrect.
According to existing documents, starting out, it should be ahead of the F-15 by 5 degrees / s at speeds below 600 km / h.
At the moment, we need to wait for the DEV server to update, take measurements and see if anything has changed.
I will also note that its radar was configured incorrectly, the capture range should be up to 100-110 km.

You are not considering the conditions. Those documents are likely discussing the F-15 on near minimum fuel vs an Su-27 at 50%. Please share what you are referencing so we can squash the misinformation.

You can just view the datamine and infer whether or not it is accurate. The Su-27 got a buff since the sustained turn test was conducted as well.

I have attached the documents above.

Spoiler

It says here that on average at speeds from 600 to 300 km/h the Su-27 has a turn speed 5 deg/s faster

Comparison of F-15 and Su-27 graphs

The only value that has changed during the development of the server is “OswaldEfficiency ” or something like that.
