Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection

does the su35sm exist? I’ve already searched for information about it, and there’s almost nothing, just an article or two from questionable sources

You sure you’re not referring to Su-35BM? BM standing for Bolshoy Modernatziye - my Russian is rusty - ‘Big Modernising’.

To my knowledge there isn’t a 35SM.

does Su-25BM stand for same thing? i always thought it was “belarus modernization” or something along thos lines

Well the handle ‘BM’ after a plane designation is usually Bolshoy Modernatziye. Certainly when it comes to Russian stuff used by the Russians. Not sure if the Belorussians have their own conventions.

M is usually Modernatziye or some similar tag ‘Modernised’.

S - I forget the Russian word - but it roughly means Combatant.

Hence SM is Combatant/Modernised.

Okay - here ye go.

As always - there are exceptions to the rule. The MiG-25PD for example does not have lifting engines… you’d combine the P (Interceptor) with the D (Upgraded) to give PD.

Is there any chance we will get Su-35BM(T-10BM) soon?

Isn’t that just the Pre-serial name for the Su-35s? Also why the Serbian wiki has too much info Sukhoi Su-35S - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia about the Su-35s

4 protytope/demonstrators for new Su-35. I don’t how many changes were made in the aircraft maybe materials, weapons or something else. But i really want to see it in game. Maybe it will help be right tool to fight EFT spam.

Okay - I’m probably thinking of S - Stroyevoy on something totally different.

hell yeah brother

It’s the best

another su-27 clip I wanted to share, showing off its ability to come in swinging to a fight with its sheer amount of missiles and how good each missile type is

(and also its shoddy radar at the start)

This things a UFO! diving at the deck like that over Mach 1.2 and you pulled out of at those speeds!
Radar looks rough Typhoon is similar…

I pulled airbrake and lowered throttle to do it, but yeah it handles decent. I am just happy with the ability to spew effective missiles at multiple targets

Not sure that would save you from the inertia…acting too much like a TVC SU-27
The amount of missiles the Su-27 carries is wild!

it does, I pulled airbrake and did full elevator while at 57% throttle, su27 is a massive jet so the drag is immense

its actually the opposite lol, current su27 still seems to be underperforming overall in some ways, the tvc ones should be insane

You pulled the brake at 1200m flying at Mach 1.13 flying a 40 tonne aircraft…
and cleared the ground by a good ammount

I’m just being pedantic here but I pulled throttle at ~1900m and airbrake was fully deployed by ~1500m but yeah either way its very impressive the aircraft can do it. It’s VERY good for an airframe at 13.0 but very outdated by 14.0. Shows how compressed the game is.

to be more precise:
you pulled the air brake flying at mach 1.19 at 2000m,
with 13 min left of fuel and with only 3 missiles left, any 4 generation plane would have done that turn and avoided the ground/water, I don’t know why the other guy is saying that the su27 is a UFO
