Damn.

Thought it was because of the canards, no?

Holy miraculous canards

The clip gives me hope for more modern flankers in the future. My takeaway is that gaijin isn’t intentionally hobbling the flankers. They’re just lazy and won’t do their job properly. I’m not an expert on precisely what’s wrong with the current flanker, but if my layman takeaway from this thread is correct and it’s some improper drag and thrust values, then perhaps the addition of different engines in newer flankers might cause gaijin to accidentally give us a better model. Either a more realistic one or at least a more favorable one.

It is true that the naval Su-33 is more unstable than Su-27S with the addition of canards, but once AOA exceeds a set limit the flight control system automatically reverses the direction of the control surfaces to prevent complete loss of lift. In War Thunder, however, this would not be modeled and I would say that the maneuver shown in the video is within the realm of possibility for a WT Su-33. However, the Su-34 being able to pull anything remotely close to that is completely ridiculous without it going into an unrecoverable stall.

No you’re wrong, to perform the cobra maneuver you have to disable the AoA and G limiter as well as the stability automaton

Man, high internet packet loss in Su-34 is like a death sentence. It stalls itself so much that it is hard to recover.

Least you have already managed 6 kills with the KH-38ts…

Do you have packet loss as well as me?

I still haven’t used it in Ground RB since I’m busy grinding for modifications in Air RB.

One time, my internet was so laggy that my Su-34 pulled too hard, causing fuel starvation and free-falling.

I live in dormitory with public wifi and can’t have my own internet router. It sucks.

Last I checked the AIM-120 is not exclusive to the US tech tree

SU-34 is my fav russian aircraft. Very cool. BUT, why is it 13.3 when it’s US counterpart, the F15 strike eagle is 13.7? Explain?

Well, recently I played SB (EC mode).
It took me 5 or 6 Kh-38MTs to kill single standing tank.

I do not know about other modes, but in SB EC it is nearly impossible to play USSR assault planes.

Because the F-15E is much better fighter in Air RB.

Because fat

Do tell me how 6 KH-38MTs managed to miss a stationary target… It’s definitely not like there are mountains of evidence showing they are more than capable of hitting 6/6 against moving targets
