Idk, but most planes since the mid 80s have ECM installed or pods, so J-10 likely has it as well
Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection
Well flanker has 24 CM more and I often run out with it (I tend to spam them a bit too much lol, I think I’m one of very few people that managed to run out of gripen CM lmao )
Lmao, brother what is wrong with you.
Well unlike Flankers it only has one engine so countermeasures are quite effective in that case, i also notch incoming fox 3 missiles a lot in order not to spend too much chaff, helps a lot.
I’m the type of guy that as long as he can expend missiles/ammo/flares to be more sure to get a kill/defeat a missile will use everything lol. It can be counter productive (especially in longer matches) but there were also many times where that extra CM popped or weird shot tried payed off.
CM wise I’ve also got too accustomed to having 200+ cm because I basically only played the F-15C at top tier in the last 3 months.
Yeah that can cause a bad habit, after playing with Gripen nothing seems to be enough for me as well, but you get use to it :D
hi, tests with correct weight seem to point out some inconsistencies with the SEP charts
@Grimtax found and that I posted a month ago, but those inconsistencies vary a lot from different tests and in general it’s very hard to quantify them.
I’m still somewhat sure that the su-27 in game has too high afterburner thrust and too high drag, but I’m afraid unless someone has a CL/CD polar very little can be done to report this (I can’t just submit a report going “su-27 has too much drag pls fix” without more details).
I’m also not sure how big of a difference it would be, biggest problem is still the radar and the fact that other planes have bs FM. Against aircraft with more decently made flight models like the F-15C and F-16C (not As) the Su-27 has a chance when fuel weight is adjusted for same fuel time in afterburner.
I’ll eventually get the j10 as i am often flying the a5c, however my main target is the j7e which is a dogfight monster… Nowadays i kinda forgot about 4th gen aircraft and went to the 2nd-3rd gen era, imo after the latest BR adjustments (with some exceptions) these vehicles became enjoyable again.
I grinded my Chinese tree with J7D and let me tell ya, dogfights became rare on 11.0-12.0 as well, most of my kills came from my missiles unless i was fighting against the last person.
I even completely skipped J7 line in order to reach J-10 faster.
Poor j7e he seems to be kinda sad for being skipped
Well Delta Canard J-10 was waiting for me, so J7E had no chance in there :D
Come on, j7e is the entire reason to grind the Chinese tt
Nu uhh.
For me its the J-10.
That’s a fair point. I don’t doubt that the Su-27 (and many vehicles in the game) perform(s) very different from real life, be it too good or too bad.
Hello everyone.
Could you please help me to understand if it is bug or normal for R-27ER/ET AAMs.
Case #1. R-27ER
Target was about 15km away. Tried to do notch, but the lock was stable all the time.
As the result - R-27ER went way below the target and did not hit.
Case #2. R-27ET
Missile blowed behind the target.
Looks like trigger that measures the distance was not quick enough to initiate missile explosion.
As the result target was not destroyed nor even any damaged.
- what was the altitude of the target? if he was too low something called multipathing will cause the missile to miss
- it likely lost lock and self destructed because warthunder’s IR handling is fugging bullshit
i feel an argument can be made for the upgraded engines to be given to the SM now the 15E got its engines. it wouldnt help as much but ill take every little bit at this point.
About 200-300m above the ground. I know about this issue with low altitude.
No, it did not. It blowed right behind the target.
then for both cases, simple answer.
you got gaijined
Well, these issues happened one right after another.
