I don’t understand, what about the fm can we get from these videos? We don’t know what su27 this is, and even if we did, how would we know throttle, weight of air craft, etc

Anyone know if the Chinese flankers had different huds compared to the Russian ones?
Su-27SM
An Su-27SM on 10 minutes of fuel will still behave vastly different to one with standard fuel load.
These videos are highly situational and while they give SOME indicication about an aircrafts performance there are some variables that are too hard to determine in videos, turn time being one of them as well since fuel load and removal of combat equipment makes a huge difference.

At the same time, if you load only a minute of fuel onto a Su-27SM ingame, I guarantee you that it wouldn’t be able to replicate what is seen in the video.

No afterburner like in the video, clean config, airbrakes extended, and make the turn, 1 minute of fuel.

Has the Su-27/Su-27SM/J-11 radar gotten worse? In TWS mode, it doesn’t keep tracking a target if I turn my nose away slightly from the target? or it is a bug? MiG-29SMT is still fine tho.
You have to use manual radar controls for it not to lose track in TWS
Hm…I didn’t remember it working this way before the update. my mistake, I played other jets for too long.
Its because Su-27 has worse radar angle than SMT.
SMT has 85 Degree coverage while SU27 only has 60.

This update has kinda crushed my spirits. I don’t know if we’ll ever get a flanker that can compete with the F-15E

Did you really expect something? Forget about it bro, i believe one day they’ll get things right but i doubt it’ll be soon.

I stopped using flankers and switched to J-10, my life quality already improved 500 percent, i suggest you guys do the same thing, extra missiles arent worth it in my book.

wanted to start playing China but decided I should finish the French tech tree first… ngl seeing that china got an identical (I never play ground) M2K felt kinda annoying lol, especially considering how painful many French planes are to play lol (at least not much ctrl C ctrl V though)
I feel you lol.
But Trust me J-10 is worth it in the end, its such a beautiful and powerful plane, mine is half spaded but still flies like a dream, unlike flanker…

Yeah china is certainly the next nation I’m gonna grind, J-10 looks really fun, only problem it has is low CM count
Shouldn’t it have ECM of some sorts? If (or rather then, ECM is important aspect of modern combat aviation after all) it will be added it should improve the CM issue by allowing to take less shaff
It has 72 Large Caliber and drops single pop eveytime, its essentially same as flankers, its quite effective.

Idk, but most planes since the mid 80s have ECM installed or pods, so J-10 likely has it as well
