afaik it’s the same physical property.
You might wanna ask the Su-57 or F-22 thread instead, they’ll likely have better (or worse considering the kind of people who lust for 5th gens) answers.

most ppl dont even seem to understand that RCS highly depends on aspect and radar frequency
but i think ppl prefer using m^2 because that is a more tangible measurment than dbsm
Su-57 patent also only lists average RCS and not the frontal RCS

which is not very far from true, but maybe it wasn’t just ru air mains, maybe somebody in devs decided to add it as counterpart to mkm and Rafailure. which sm2 is if you remove some shizo angles of radar, regardless if they are realistic or not and also either remove iron doming mechanics for air radars or remove 2 missiles from sm2

Some truth in that, same reason Chinese tanks performance is restricted to not make it superior to the T-90M.
The Su-30SM2 was probably needed for air realistic but not for ground battles where it is defacto the best jet in the game.
