You’d be surprised how clueless the average player is about anything… They play the cool shiny planes but they have no idea what anything is.
Many people here have very extensive technical knowledge but we’re a very tiny minority of the playerbase to actually understand a bunch

When people come to the forum for a specific reason rather than to discuss overall technical stuff, the conversation rarely goes somewhere. Because the specific reason is usually “muh my vehicle doesn’t obliterate everything, russian bias smth smth”
that’s the entire .com forum and like half of .ru one. many local pleers are just mother’s little politicians which try to slap their beliefs onto the game

It kinda depends, I mostly read actual technical discussions so I see a whole lot of experts. But yeah there’s a big side of the forum that is just “push this evil plane up by 5.0”, “lower my poor plane by 3.0”, “add this op missile, I suffer”, “buff this US vehicle, US is the best so everything american has to be op” and “russian bias smth smth”.
But I try to ignore/avoid that part of the forum because nothing useful can come out of it
