They realized not to touch us long ago, I highly doubt any moderator comes to this place.
It’s like I’ve said several times in other topics, this topic is so clean with so many polite people that they don’t even need to worry about what we say here, it’s like the Garden of Eden in the middle of hell.
Because despite our differences and ideas we unite under the majestic Russian beauties which is the reason why we dont turn things into ugly.

Yeah, in a downtier. And if you play it in a very specific way. This way you can call 70% of aircrafts in game a monster.

I love how Gaijin gives you the option to carry laser guided munitions on pylon 5, but automatically replaces them with T220.
Technically speaking you should be able to guide them with IRST since it has inbuilt LRF iirc.
Real question is will you able to spot ground units with Mk 1 eyeball from 20km’s?

Not on Su-30SM, you can check MiG-29 thread where i was looking trough different IRSTs for Russian aircrafts, and 36Sh-01 doesn’t have laser designator. Su-27SM should, hovewer, as it has same IRST as MK2 or MKK
Both type of IRSTs also underperform in scan rate in wide mode and Su-30SM IRST underperforms in narrow mode as well.

Has a bug report been made yet?
No, I just did a very quick check with a timer and got around 4.9 seconds for both IRSTs. Su-30SM should complete a sweep in 4 seconds, MK2 should complete in 4.5

I might try and write a report really quick, can you link me back to those sources? I remember seeing them in the MiG-29 chat but I wanna make sure I’m looking at the right stuff.

There might be a difficulty to prove that 36Sh-01 is installed on SM. I could only find 3rd party website platform where companies offer their production and 36Sh-01 is said to be for MKI and MKM aircrafts
