The SinoFlankers are super fun. the J-11BG will probably be the best Flanker for dogfights if it comes with WS-10B Series 3 engines.

I just noticed something funny. Russian Kh-31 (regular versions) don’t have animations for intakes and booster jettison, while YJ-91 does. Chinese bias smh

And half of the time Kh-31 just completely misses them
It depend on the plane. Played mkk and both anti rad and sea don’t have intake
ITOs on their own are not an issue generally, but when there is 7 trillion of them it gets kinda annoying
Just tried MKK in test flight, YJ-91 L-111 had a proper animation
I like how the kh31 act as a GNSS only when the target who locked at first dies and can’t re lock the target 10m next to it.

They use base r-77/-1 missile for mostly non-aircraft
Never heard of a flamingo missile
they use r-77m for enemy aircraft
They shoot r-77m in pairs to do a “pincer” basically shooting the r-77m from 2 different angles
r-73 (not r-74m) for mostly uavs

It is a reinterpretation of Soviet Tu-141 , subsonic with the size of a small aircraft so not really surprising it can be targeted by R-77. On the other hand R-77 targeting SCALP is quite a bit more interesting since it’s estimated RCS is comparable to stealth fighters ( im talking about realistic RCS estimates here not the 0.00000000001m^2 fairytale served to sweet summer childs ). So this would indicate that 9B-1348 seeker can lock stealth targets. Albeit , range remains an unknown and Irbis plays undoubtedly a great role here.
