I sincerely hope so, do you think we’ll notice any difference in acceleration between the SM2 and the Su-35?
it might be because it is still uses J-15T stats. We’ll see next week if there will be changes. Overal this dev server looks the most… complete out of the ones we had this year, so we might actually get an update after just one week of testing
Possibly, that depends on how much they lower the drag profile of the Su-35.
Since it has no canards.
I wouldn’t expect anything grounbreaking though.
Cockpit probably contributes much more to the drag profile than canards. And RAM coating should technially remove rivets and panel edges from the drag profile as well
Now that you mention it, does RAM on the Su-35 or Su-57 require the pilot to keep the jet under certain speeds?
To preserve the coating.
Interesting question, but i haven’t seen anything specific mentioned about that. We don’t even know what RAM coating Russia uses and how resistant to heat it is

man these things can haul ass, i lauched them from around 80km and around 3km of altitude and they haven’t even slowed down from cruise speed util they’ve hit the target
i think gaijin changed TVC logic AGAIN. Nozzles aren’t turning as agressively as they did before, especially at speeds closer to transsonic
It’s basically Thrust-vectorless SM1, and as the radar still 140 degrees, I don’t think it will be meta tbh.
Bit faster and less sluggish than the regular Su30sm I’d say.
Though it is true the kit it gets isn’t gonna shine for its br.
Assuming both AIM-7 and R-27 gets its fix for current update, I’m on hopium that there will be decompression. I’ve seen how AIM-7 now even outpaced AIM-120. I wouldn’t be truly surprised when R-27 gets fixed it actually got its Mach 5.6 power lmao.
If so, then J-15/16 and Rafale would shine at its BR as they are still pretty much the only 14.7 aircraft that don’t have more than 180 degree radar.
Let’s see if gaijin keeps its trend of merely increasing the max br by 0.3 once a year in December xD.
Aim-7 rework seems interesting, I’m genuinely curious to test them on the premium F-2A once the update hits live. I wish I had the Tornado ADV or F3, as that is probably gonna benefit from the buff as well.

Those damn russkies are cooking something
