Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 3)

The effects will be that the planes will just be harder to turn into the notch angle for missile evasion right? Since most dogfights are already at subsonic speeds

Proceed to gets limited to 9G’s :)

Su-30 will become competition to the F-104

I should properly test this at relevant air RB altitudes before saying yes.

If these instructor changes reduced the ability of getting into a notch fast, then yeah it’s quite a nerf.

Maybe after tomorrow’s dev update we’ll be able to tell better.

If it keeps biblically accurate transonic and subsonic performance I won’t mind much. Could make interesting dynamic between redfor/bluefor aircrafts. Kinda like F-86/MiG-15 balance of old

I think they doing this to give 5th gen’s an edge at higher speeds maybe

True… but imo, some flavour wouldn’t hurt. Especially if sprinkled around the module/research tree and making Grom best, but eventual option

I agree, flavour is good even if it isn’t a meta pick or something like that. Sometimes people just like stuff for other reasons than effectiveness

@GitGood @Sanguisage did some pull tests for each, 1 subsonic pull and 1 supersonic.

Wait for the J-10…

well luckily i dont have anything to do with the instructor in sim

I see the J-10 got an accepted report for this, perhaps they overdid it.

wouldnt be a warthunder update without either breaking radars or the instructor

I forgot to test F-2 and Mig-35 goddamnit

Don’t forget missiles. Still remember 7Ps crashing your game if you just try to launch them

i remember leviathans where missiles just didnt hit at all

that was fun in sim, especially since the average sim player isnt able to dogfight at all

Secret bullet hell testing actually

Scratch sim. I was able to bully Eurofighters in a MiG-29SMT of all things

you can bully F-18s with the 9.12 in sim

because the “people” flying the premium hornets only know how to monkey pull

Its quite interesting because, in real life Eurofighter is limited to 23° AOA, a stricter limit than the one we have on the F-16

damn J-16s acceleration seems really good, did you like its fm?

I think the FM is nice overall, it’s still a bit slower than the SM2 in most regimes.

The J-16 looks to have engines with a newer nozzle though, so maybe it will get a bit more thrust, and match the SM2.
