:( nope
I’ve decided.
@ILuvAnneHathaway I get my F-2 pics…
or the Ferrari F-40 is getting a Ford EcoBoost engine. And not the cool one, the Ford Focus one.

It is though, and while that hurts Russian fans.
The technology is behind in terms of pure kinematics and kill potential. The ASRAAM new block uses an IIR seeker something Russia havent got to grips with.
In game performance though is a very different discussion.
considering that camm (ARH version of asraam) already has more delta V than r-27et in game, I am sure asraam is going to have more range than r-27et while being around 200! kg lighter than r-27et all the while having a much, much better seekerhead and much more maneuverable.
Genuinely impressive as hell
You do realize ASRAAM still lacks datalink compare to other modern IIR missiles right? In this Case ASRAAM isn’t also super duper weapon system.
I prefer MICA IR/NG IR over ASRAAM any day if that’s the case.
IF this is true. that must be one hell of a fuel to give more bang than 200kg more of fuel.
just check datamines
r-27et:

CAMM:

all the while being much, much lighter and can carry much more quantity of the missile
source
And the difference is only 10 years between r-27et and asraam
That’s why i have significant skepticism about this.
Will be peak stealth Michael gameplay
Knowing Gaijin MAW system will detect those long range ir missiles despite their motor burn out in those scenarios, still MICA IR will be pretty deadly in most case scenarios.
MICA NG is a real upgrade over ASRAAM
Probably the most potent IIR missile in the world
Combined with an AESA seeker it is an incredibly capable missile.

Su-34 dissagrees
yeah i’ve been corrected, camm gets an extra turnover pack that the air launch version doesn’t that contributes to its extra delta V
i guess it’s some extra dense fuel pack that gets discarded after burning down?
10 years isn’t something you can underestimate in military technology.
So you’ve played your 3 games for this week eh?
not only in military tech
like look where we have gotten in PC hardware in the past 10 years
