Pretty cool. Hornet not gonna be a good competition at top tier against monsters like F-15EX or Su-35 but this might help with survivability
Afaik, there nothing like that on Su-35, only Su-57 has LDIRCM turrets installed

With current weapon kit, maybe. But if you are mentioning Meteors, then you probably know that in this case Su-35S will get at least R-77Ms or even R-37Ms which will give Meteors run for their money quite easily
Well, not the F15EX. The Su35 would be a sidegrade to the SM2 in many aspects.
The R77M from my understanding is closer to the AIM120D than it is to the longer range missiles such as the R37, meteor or PL15. The R37 is also a big fat missiles. And the phoenixes are a good demonstration of gaijin’s in game implementation of such missiles. It’s to be seen how much maneuverability potential it’d have at range, compared to the meteor which can control its engine output across a much larger flight path, or even the PL15, which is a leaner missile
It’s a big fat missile that goes Mach 6. If Fakour-90 says something, it is that fast missile = dangerous missile. You also might be overestimating Meteor capabilities in terms of agility. Ramjet engine requires stable airflow, so i doubt that Meteor is capable of pulling massive AoA without killing its own engine in the process.

This is not the problem of a missile, but the platform. Fakours are defeated easily because IRIAF simply incapable of keeping DL connection stable. Put Fakour on anything that can - and you will get something pretty broken.
Is it installed on an aircraft? Last time i checked it was still in testing. R-77M ejectors are installed on freshly produced Su-35Ss since March 2025
Officially should enter service later this year. Most probably will do so around next year. I don’t expect those dual pulse missiles to come before even later than that in game. We will probably first see gen 5 and modern IR missiles first
Well, MDBA claims up to 40% increase in range which will make it around 110-120km? Pretty competitive, but R-77M is claimed to have up to 190km of range. Plus it has funny ARH/PRH seekerhead that can ruin a day of many ECM enjoyers
The range of the MICA EM is also claim from 80-100km depending on the source, which would put the EM closer to 140km. In game MICA still hits a wall at high speed (having higher drag than other fox3s). There are a few reports regarding that are sitting in CBR
mica ng is smaller than R77m (also like half the weight?) r77m will have a lot more propellant. mica ng will only be better in terms of maneuverability. (idk abt the seeker head used in mica ng/r77m)
Some media says that 77M has AESA seeker, but i doubt it. Latest interview about RVV-SDM missile (export version of R-77M) only mentions a second passive channel to the seekerhead, and the only seeker we know of that is capable of this is 9B-1103M-200PS which is slotted array dish
I think saying “many” is a bit of a stretch, the shortcomings are essentially a few less countermeasures and marginal weight increase.
Aside from this it will be functionally the same aircraft, both in capabilities and gameplay-wise.
